Federal Judge Slams Governor Scott. By Geniusofdespair

Press Release from Sierra Club:

BREAKING NEWS: Judge slams Gov. Scott, vows to turn over state water quality enforcement to EPA

In a 117 page ruling yesterday, Federal judge Alan Gold blasted Governor Rick Scott for resisting water quality standards set by the EPA and said he intends to strip the state of its clean water enforcement duties and return them to the federal government.

“The primary purpose of this latest Order is to put into the hands of the EPA all the resources necessary to enforce its action plan and to implement its full power under the congressional Clean Water Act,” wrote Gold.

“It is time now for this next significant step to occur. The EPA has represented that it wants to act. It must be given the opportunity to do so,” added Judge Gold.

“It is now, and has been for a while, time to take concrete and substantial progress toward preserving the Everglades before this national treasure is permanently destroyed to the extent of irreparable destruction,” Gold said.

Gold’s ruling is part of a 2004 lawsuit filed by Friends of the Everglades and the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians.

Remove, impeach, indict, arrest, recall, deport, whatever! Wake up, people-he needs to go!

No telling what Oxymoron Scott's liable to do now that he's gone and pissed off a Federal judge. If history is any indication, a megalomaniac is particularly dangerous when someone has the audacity to disagree.

Apparently PharmaScott needs to consult with Pam Bondi, who's obviously calling the shots in Tallahassee, as evidenced by Trainwreck Rick's handling of the Pill Mill Caper. Seems she's the only one up there with a set of platinum cojones who can stand up to him.

Hopefully Judge Gold has Lynda Bell in his crosshairs.

Judges don't have anyone in their crosshairs, unless there is a lawsuit that lands before them in federal court in which case they are sworn to uphold the law.

Judge Gold is an amazing judge. I have followed his rulings for several years. He makes so much sense and he cares about people and the environment. I wish we had hundreds more like him on the bench. He thumbed his nose at Scott. He is the one with the cojones.

In 1958, The People of Cuba wanted change . . . they got change!

President Obama (D) wanted change. Rick Scott (R) wants change. The People get blinded following political parties. They do not seem to understand that the special interests are always at play (Medicare, charter schools, developers, etc.) They are ruining our country.

A neighbor told me not too long ago, that we did not need "change," but instead need a "fix." We need to fix what has been broken for way too long --- we need to fix government.

We recalled the mayor of one of the largest counties in the United States (a historical event), and we recalled one of the strongest and long-standing commissioners here. Maybe it is time that The People of Florida consider recalling the governor.

I am waiting for the day when someone can identify an impeachable offense. If legislature refuses to act upon it, then we can start cleaning house in our own tea party-esque fashion.

Wish we could recall the Gov Milly but it is not in the Florida constitution. We would have to put it by petition - and then a vote and then have a second petition drive to put it on the ballot and have another vote to remove him.

Can we revolt?

Milly, of course we can revolt, but how many people are truly willing to do it?? Talk is easy buy actions speak louder than words 100% of the time...
