Maybe you have to be in the know to find about Lynda Bell's Town Hall meeting on March 3rd.
It is not on the calender on her website. It is not a news release on her website even though this flier went out to the press -- us. Hmmm. Exactly what is going on here? What are these "important issues" that people want to discuss related to DERM? Maybe Steve Torcise has something he wants to say about DERM? Lynda owes him big with this election. Or is it farmers who supported her complaining about wetland designations? Payback might be afoot. Lee Hefty and Carlos Espinosa from DERM are going to be there, I checked.
According to her website, Lynda Bell's last News Release was 1/19/2011 and her calendar has no events for February or March. I suggest all you District 8 people go to this meeting and find out why you wanted to discuss issues about DERM.

Can you photo shop a straw hat on to her, with a toothpick hanging out of her mouth, maybe black out some of her teeth too-then you'd see the REAL Dist. 8 Commissioner!
I'm sure we're in for a "treat" with Bell's presence in Redland. DERM and her would be like Seijas and the Everglades Restoration.
Whatever the meeting is really about, we'll find out soon enough, but I'm sure it's to support moving the UDB and/or rock mining and/or paving over wetlands!
Ask Jim Humble what the meeting is about. He knows.
The location is clearly intended to reduce attendance, picking the far southern reaches of the district, who even knows where this is? is it in a rock pit mining site?
Taco Bell chose the Ag Center because:
1. She's environmentally sensitive.
2. The conference room at her church was already booked.
3. It's near a Metrobus route so Jenna can attend.
4. The Ag Center's in the boonies, thus discouraging Miami Hispanics and the ACLU, who are really pissed at her after she cancelled the Cuban Music Festival, from attending.
5. It's walking distance to her house, again showing her green side.
Her pic on the Town Hall Meeting announcement looks like a booking photo. Maybe someone can Photoshop an DCJ orange jumpsuit. Pink's so 1980's.
The Ag community keeps trying and it seems as though they found a "sympathetic ear" in Bell. Yes sir, I am sure there were some hefty campaign contributions from them there folks.
DERM is doing its job! What are the issues?
