Lynda Bell's PAC money comes from enemy list. By Geniusofdespair

Try to make sense of this PAC, Floridians for Effective Leadership, Inc. They spent money on ultra-conservative Lynda Bell in a Miami Dade County Commission race and they also gave money to a Democratic challenger to John Thrasher up in Jacksonville. I don't think this PAC's donors are getting straight talk. Floridians for Effective Leadership, Inc., is registered to Andrew Jones and Steve Vancore, a Democratic strategist. Someone should tell him Lynda is not a Democrat. I thought, maybe I should do it. I just called Vancore and told him about Lynda and asked him why his PAC paid for the flyer and he seemed to not know why, he said he would look into it and get back to me. Right.

Citizens for Ethical and Effective Leadership in Miami gave $10,000 to the Floridians PAC. Daniel Cifuentes is the leader of this second PAC. Ron Book, Dade County Medical Association, Wayne Rosen, 6201 Of Miami, LLC (Jorge Munilla), GJB Consulting (Al Maloof et al), Redland Land Holdings, Inc. (Torcise Rock Miners), and Marin and Sons gave to this Cifuentes PAC. That is Wayne Rosen and Al Maloof, 2 of Lynda Bell's arch enemies, who gave tens of thousands each, through a Miami-Dade PAC, to help Eugene Flinn. They actually gave to Lynda Bell too through this Citizens for Ethical and Effective Leadership PAC (Daniel Cifuentes). What is the stupidity of that? I bet they didn't know what the PAC was going to do. Also Citizens for Honesty in Politics contributed $10,000 to the PAC that paid for Lynda's ad. They are financed by Prime Bank and The Optometric Association (both in Tallahassee). Curiously they paid $44,011 for a Miami Dade County Mailer to One on One Communications, Inc. (Rosa Mora/Jose Navas).

Unrelated, did you know Florida Lobbyists have their own professional association? Pretty funny, huh?

Just covering/hedging their bets. These guys will dance with anyone, anywhere who enhances their ability to "get things done" through zoning and permitting.

Marin is/was on the Bell enemy list form the 2007 Homestead campaign

GoD, Maloof & Rosen know full well what they are/were doing. Neither are known for their "integrity" now are they.

This PAC was probably to give them cover so they could help Bell, just in case. Well, the just in case happened and they are in a better position for their interests.

Are these two Stupid, nope; calculating, yes! I always thought there were some turn coats in Flinn's campaign, well, the light is shining brightly now.

This is probably just the tip of the iceberg as to what was really going on behind the scenes.

OMG, I do have to laugh. I wonder if Marin used the money Taddao paid him to fund Bell and this PAC!

This is just incredible.

The unions who support VNS are important to Marin for the other campaigns he runs. As VNS was backing Bell, it stands to reason that Marin had to use back channels to help fund Bell.

By the way, Tom David (who strongly supports VNS) is affiliated with the Dade County Medical Association through it's owner. The owner is a Republican.

makes me barf - this is all because candidates have to raise outrageous amounts of money to run a campaign

I can't believe Maloof and Rosen didn't know what they were doing.

They were doing it! Someone wrote the checks!

These sort of people always seem to play both sides of the fence. The average voter struggles to find the right candidate to vote for. Political bozos like these (they a only 2 of large gaggle), simply don't care about the quality of candidate, it is a business deal for them.

Lynda probably was giddy with delight that her pal custin was being so sneaky. She understands the game.

The Homestead "housewife" is a force to be reckoned with. All I can says is, Flinn was warned, yet he was not watching his own stronghold and did nothing in Homestead. 400 and some votes.... despite all the funny money.

The words "Effective Leadership" and Lynda Bell do not belong in the same sentence.

Can't wait to watch Bell's "CRA" Committee meeting. Homestead wants another feeding from the taxpayer trough. Remember the last Homestead CRA Report. I'm telling you, that's one City that just cannot get anything right - ever!

Between Shiver, Looser Sr. (not a misspelling, Alger, Bell et al, they're just screwed. With a special shout out to Lennar, Rosen and the development interests.

Oh, I forgot, Knowles too.

I think they get nothing done - ever, so they can continually ask for more money. Kind of like the County Airport Contractors!

(part of the above is supposed to be cynical, some of it is not)

Linda was linked to David Rivera, seen hovering around his Hialeah office, and she was on the Republican Slate that was given out at polling places even though she was running in a non-partisan race. This obviously Democratic PAC had no business supporting her.

I think the PAC was a cover for a lot of people who wanted to play both sides. Bell using Rivera's office was kind of like hiding in plain site - just about everyone knew it.

I'm listening to the CRA Committee meeting. She's most certainly hard to watch, so I thought I'd just keep the volume on. I never knew she stutters so much and speaks like she has marbles in her mouth! I have to turn it off, it's just inbearable.

All you people who voted for her -hope you're happy (and really embarrased too)!

You mean a flier that might have changed the course of an election was put out by Democrats against Democrats for a Republican? Someone's head should roll.

Even though you did a great article, but you are so fare from the truth.

Maloof and Rosen contributed a total of $60,000 against Lynda and gave it to the PAC run by Tom David.

Look at the names of all the individuals on the PAC run by Tom David, they are all the scum bags of Homestead.

Maloof and Rosen contributed (ZEROOO) to help Lynda.

I know that. I said tens of thousands was donated by them to help Flinn.. It could not be any clearer. I don't think they knew this PAC money was helping her--I said that too. Can you not read?

the dems did a piss poor job of supporting their candidates... Lynda in a non-partisan race skated in on the Republican ticket... she used their people for all it was worth.

I can read… but I guess all the others reading this blog can’t.

Listen they are buying the candidates with these PACs, extortion. It was a non-partisan race but linda has always been a conservative Christian. Flynn losing is just part of politics it just comes to who promises more and who delivers.
