In the news: Natacha Seijas and Colonoscopies. By Geniusofdespair

The Haggman Brannigan team over at the Miami Herald reported that Judge Donner dismissed Natacha Seijas' challenge to the recall because Harvey Ruvin - the Clerk who certified the petitions - was not included in the litigation. Vile Natacha's attorney Stephen Cody is filing with Harvey included. So it ain't over till the fat lady sings.

During Seijas' deposition, to highlight the absurdity of the technical errors Natacha's team are focused on:

"Michael Pizzi, who is Mayor of Miami Lakes and led an earlier recall drive against Seijas in 2006, presented Seijas with a copy of the warranty deed to her house in which her name was spelled wrong. He pressed her on whether the ownership of her house was in doubt because of the error. Seijas said the misspelling had later been corrected.

Pizzi also showed Seijas that the date of the notary’s signature on legal papers related to her home was dated one day earlier than she had signed the papers."

On another front, or should I say back, the Miami Herald reported that 12 more war veterans are facing a call on improperly cleaned colonoscopy equipment at the Miami VA hospital. This is the third call to veterans - total of 2,500 veterans were notified. "Tests found three local veterans were HIV positive, seven had hepatitis C and one had hepatitis B. VA officials said there was no way to know whether the vets acquired the infections from the colonoscopies."

This is just not fair karma. These men did so much for the country and this is what they get in return? Life sucks sometimes.

This case was dismissed only to be filed again - an expensive and time consuming do over. Classic screw up by Natacha's attorney Stephen Cody. This is litigation 101. Maybe a remedial civil procedure class is in order. Basic.

It's all about delay. Delay. Delay. Great graphic, btw.

What do Seijas and colonoscopies have to do with each other?

Nothing. I had two things to report. I often report unrelated news in one post -- you must be new here.

Wrong Genius. Seijas and colonoscopies are related. Usually it takes a colonoscopy to find where most of the commissioners keep their heads.

The VA's standards of care had them notifying patients.
Think Rick Scotts for profit hospitals would have notified?

Natacha's head looks like a polyp in a colon.
