The same Cody who filed against Flinn! Gee, is anyone really surprised.

They'll take her out of there in a body bag!

I'm not surprised at Cody. The man is a beast. A great attorney, but a beast. Let me amend that. He's a great, good-looking attorney. And humble. I've met the man. He's very humble. When he brought single-member districts to the County Commission and the School Board, he was humble. If he weren't humble, I'm sure he'd say he has greatness in his humility. But he's too humble to say that. Or to post anything on a navel-gazing blog like this one, where when all is said and done. the readers of this blog always say more than they do.

Not in her district, but would love to help her recall! Anything one can do?

With all due respect to Miami Voice, I seems these people may have screwed up. After reading the Herald article there seems to be technical mistakes that could get this much needed recall thrown out. They fell short on Bruno and now they F… up with VNS? Vanessa please tell me you did your homework on this. You can carry the triumph of this necessary ousting… but you will also carry justified criticism if you screwed up.

We only get one bite at the Apple! Let’s pray Vanessa’s recall was done correctly. Remember “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” And good intentions won’t help us get rid of these clowns at the County.

The anonymous above, what the he'll are you talking about. Is that humor-- Cody good looking? Cody humble? Others, stop wringing your hands, the recall will go as planned. This is a desperate move.

Anonymous said...

Cody a great attorney? On LSD?

Can you spell D-E-S-P-E-R-A-T-I-O-N? Natacha is running scared!

Anonymous said...

Could be desperate move, could be delaying so she's not on same recall ballot as Alvarez.
What's really sad is the scrutiny that's given to recall signatures in contrast to how absentee ballots are filled out and signed.

Anon critical of Miami Voice when you step up too the plate then you go ahead and talk all the trash you want.

So someone misspelled their own name, so waht! Being a brain surgeon or a rocket scientist is not a requirement to circulate petitions.

This is nothing more than that Fat Arrogant Slime Ball trying to use intimidation to undo the will of the people. No if ands or big fat butts.

I have a feeling these signatures were collected fraudulently. On purpose that is. Vanessa Brito is communist agent send by Castro to screw up this recall and take Bramas money. Now that sucks. Can you please find out Genius?

FIDEL said...

Vanessa Brito works for me, I hired her becuase I fear the Vile one's power. Natacha may not be able to grow a beard like mine(maybe she can) but she probably has Cojones as big as mine, REALLY!

I need to stop her because Natacha and her army of absentee ballot con artist present a clear and present danger to my dictatorial regime.

Once I get rid of Natacha I will disembark on South Beach with the Cuban Army and march on too the Steven P Clark building where I will be crowned Strong Mayor of North Havana.

To the anon above questioning what's the big deal in misspelling your name when signing petitions: If you cant take the time to correctly sign and spell your name, I dont want you to be a part of this important process. Let alone vote.

We're trying to recall a county commissioner, not register for a free microwave at the local "Sedanos." Maybe Vanessa Brito did not do enough homework when recruiting qualified volunteers for this job.

When you take on the "Miami Mafia" - YOU HAVE TO BE THOROUGH. We already blew it on Bruno. Are we about to crown Seijas "Queen of beating Recalls?!"

I love having an anti environment commissioner who brags about eating manatees as a child, actually a nice way to counter the anti business mindset over at DERM (ie Susan Markley). Regardless, am I the only one that thinks Seijas is the offspring of a bulldog?

Btw, where's Rick with his "all the anonymous comments are from the same person" bullshit?

Anonymous said...

I dont understand why there isn't this same outrage over the other commissioners who voted for the tax increase.

Where's the rest of the petitions?

The more I read about this thing in the newspapers and on this blog, the more I'm convinced that its nothing more than a concerted effort to oust Hispanic Republicans from the county commission.

Whatever happaned to the outrage of Moss, Edmonson, Heyman? I think I'm missing someone.

I am to assume that the only ethnic group that has balls in this community are the hispanics, or more accurately - the Cubans?!

I think not. Get your act together, or dont expect to be taken seriously.

After all, its our money!

Geniusofdespair said...

Heyman was not part of the recall because you have to be one year from your election. She wasn't. There weren't enough vounteers in the black community to gather petitions, so Edmonson and Jordan dodged a bullet. Stop with the Hispanic nonsense reader.

Anonymous said...

Volunteers? Oh please. This is clearly a concerted effort to oust Commissioner Seijas. Can’t we at least be a little honest about that… No blacks, no Anglos, only Seijas… hmm . Genius you believe blacks don’t mind paying more taxes?

Let’s see.
Vanessa Brito , Mimi Planas, Millie Herrera, etc. Democrats, Liberals, Rainbow Coalition members.

Natacha Seijas, Republican, Conservative, Righteous women
You do the math.

BTW you forgot Moss Genius. He also voted to raise taxes.

Anonymous said...

I was getting signatures for Moss. We came up short. It was hard to get people to sign. It was not because we didn't try. You need paid people to gather signatures, volunteers alone can't do it in the time period. I got about 8-12 in 5 hours near government center. It wasn't enough. Library was worse.

Geniusofdespair said...

Those numbers suck. And person above that --- you are an asshole. Seijas a Righteous woman -- in your hallucinations maybe. Righteous women don't threaten to send the chair of the County Commission home in a body bag. If I had said that I would be sent to jail.

I have found that unless I am of the same background -- people are less likely to sign my petition, they were more suspicious of me. I have done many petitions over the years, not just this one.

For instance, I was in front of a grocery store in a Hispanic neighborhood trying for Barreiro signatures and I know I could have gotten them if I were Hispanic...I left with about 5 (2 non Hispanics) in 2 hours...hardly worth it. The only exception was during the election: It was a breeze to get signatures, mainly because the Mayor recall was white hot in the press and on radio. People came to you, you didn't have to approach them. And, although there were blacks whites and Hispanics at the early voting site, Hispanics signed much more than any other group. Maybe they just hated Natacha more. We were collecting for Jordan and it wasn't going good collecting for her. Let's just say the recall petition drive of Seijas was made possible by her behavior not her ethnic background.

By the time VNS hits the private sector, she'll be lucky to get a free bus ticket to West Perrine.

Mrs. Seijas is also after all of us who collected signatures as petition circulators, but I would remind her that we are exercising a Constitutional right in recalling her. Dignity would be to hold a press conference and retire from the commission seat. Yes, Mrs. Seijas, I do not know anything about government, do not know how government operates and am against government - so is the majority of the citizens in the United States these days. We need honesty, integrity and justice in government. You are being recalled because the people of your district no longer believe you have their best interest at heart, because you voted to raise our taxes during very difficult economic times. Yes, we care about the children, the elderly and the disabled, but not at the expense of struggling taxpayers to give raises to people working for Miami-Dade county who already enjoy hefty salaries and benefits.

Well said. It is important to remain focused on the single issue as to why she is going to be on a ballot for a recall vote.

Interesting comment from Mrs. Herrera. She claims to know how folks feel in District 13. She has run three times in the past 6 years unsuccessfully. It’s only fair to think that her views run counter to the community she pretends to speak for. In addition, how interesting that her, Brito, Planas etc. none live in Natachas district, but claim there is an groundswell up there in her district. They had to ship in people from other districts and pay them to get those signatures…. Please Millie, give us a break

Geniusofdespair said...

Wrong Milliy she never ran

Geniusofdespair said...

Millie NOT from Hialeah ran 3 times.

Anonymous said...

Run or no run genius, my point still stands. If not check were all those people live.

Anonymous said...

What a coincidence there’s a Millie Herrera that fits the same description

LOL - There were active attempts to garner signatures for Moss' recall during the Elections at The South Dade government center court house (they moved to the library) and then in Florida City. Folks were signing but they did not have the same coverage that they needed. Lynda Bell's campaign folks were offering up advice to the signature collectors at the SDGC library. They mistakenly quit collecting for a day or 2 when the Alvarez quota was reached...then they had to regroup and try to get signatures again for Moss. But, collecting signatures for Moss in Goulds and West Perrine is like trying to get your kids to swear off Christmas.

For those of you who are wondering if Vanessa did her homework - she did. I was there, with her, at the initial trainings and watched her carefully review each petition with a team of volunteers. A lawsuit from Abre Los Brazos (Seijas' PAC) doesn't mean Vanessa didn't do her homework, it means they're looking for ANYTHING they can use in their favor - even if it means drowning the will of the people.

Anon above. Glad to hear you were there making sure. Maybe you’ll get subpoenaed too.

Aw Terry, stop rattling the cage.

This post is about the recall and not about me, but to reply to the anonymous blogger whose intent is to offend me, I'll say, "ha,ha," --- the joke is on you!

Be informed. I have spelled my name with a "y" since the 10th grade, have lived in the city of Hialeah since childhood; we were one of the first Cuban families to settle here, my father was one of the first Cuban-American business owners here, my grandfather worked at a shoe factory off 10th Avenue, I went to school here, church, the bowling lanes, hung out at the local places, neighborhood shops & restaurants, malls, built long-lasting friendships, have walked the city many times in the past few years for various issues, have met with residents, know my neighbors well, and I never get lost in Hialeah.

I write my name on my comments - can't say the same for you "anon," can we? - AND I have never run for any public office!

I consider myself a moderate, conservative Independent voter - a constitutionalist, a Cuban by birth, but an American patriot at heart who is eternally grateful to this country and a citizen who understand that we have the right to recall our commissioner for District 13!

Reply to me now. I can argue with you, but defend your right to speak your mind. The Constitution gives us that right. Isn't it wonderful?

P.S. Greetings to Millie in Kendall who I happen to know personally. You have done more than many people who post "anon" blogs and never do anything of value to help their fellow men.

Well said, Milly from Hialeah. So, do we have a spending problem that necessitates the taxing problem? Instead of just focusing on Mrs. Seijas' actions in raising taxes, where was she on the spending side of things. I believe this might add fuel to the fire in a conservative county. Comments?
