Congressman David Rivera's sleaze is playing out in the newspapers but it doesn't turn me off to all Republicans when I see them calling for ethical government. It is time for both parties to come together and insist on one thing: Honesty in our leaders. My most admired Republican today is Miami Attorney Thomas Spencer. The Miami Herald reported:
In a letter to the Miami Herald, Thomas Spencer, who is active in Miami-Dade and state Republican politics, said Rivera needs to fully and completely, without delay or obfuscation, disgorge and fully explain every single relevant fact and document -- or he needs to step down.
Thank you Mr. Spencer for putting ethics above politics. This guy Rivera is not worthy to be in Washington D.C. and everybody knows it...except maybe the brain dead voters that sent him to Washington.

The voters wanted to get him out of town, same with Rubio. We could have had Mayor David Rivera. That would have been worse. They do less damage when they are 1 among many. That being said, I would be very afraid to entrust him with any sensitive material.
I don't know about sensitive materials but I'd be scared to have david Rivera anywhere near my wallet.
I really love these guys. Marquito "the hyena" Rubio was his best friend, until the moment the investigation broke, and now he'a already running n the opposite direction. I just wanna thank the Miami voters -- who don't seem to be able to vote any decent men into office -- again. Thank you, imbeciles, for making Florida a hell hole!
Now if only a prominent Democrat would step forward and hold Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters accountable.
Hey, Tom Spencer! The House doesn't discipline members for things they did before they got elected. Stop living in a fantasy world. The House Ethics Commitee can't even investigate. As for stepping down? It's called an election. See who the Dems put up in 2012.
Hey, last anon! The House and Senate make their own rules. The Senate Ethics Committee recently investigated Illinois Sen. Roland Burris for his actions prior to appointment. If someone obtains his house seat through criminal means, it certainly would justify a house investigation. That said, where do you see any mention in the Herald story about Thomas Spencer and the House Ethics Committee? I think most people, including Thomas Spencer, are concerned about the state and federal criminal probes into Rivera's activities, not some internal House investigation.
Speaking of Marco, there is going to be a Marco Cubio sandwich in Talli. I am not lying. It was on TV.
