Vile Natacha Seijas' Recall Petitions Will Be Submitted Today! By Geniusofdespair

Political Action Committee (PAC) Miami Voice heads to the Miami-Dade County Clerk of Courts office this morning to submit signed petitions calling for the recall of Miami-Dade County District 13 Commissioner Natacha Seijas.

Miami Voice PAC will submit 4,704 of the collected petitions to be certified by the Miami-Dade County Clerk of the Court Harvey Ruvin. Miami Voice PAC was required to submit 4% of the number of registered voters in District 13, a total of 3,591.

3:43PM Miami Herald: "Miami-Dade Clerk of Courts Harvey Ruvin said his office received five boxes of petitions. "We're proceeding to take those petitions and to start scanning them. They will be processed in the same professional and transparent manner we're using to process the petitions for the mayor," Ruvin said.

Why such a flattering photo of vns?

Sometimes when it is GOOD news I am more apt to be generous.

Hooray. Sergio Pino gets to spend more TARP money defending her recall.

1st anon, that's what I was going to write!

Oh my, maybe Atlantic Civil will cough up another $30+ grand like they did for Bell. Or, US Construction can start a PAC with all the County funds they received - right, indirectly, I got it!

De Grandy - mr. district voting master et al too!

The list can go on! Maybe even Rick Scott can help with another PAC and his bud's in the legislature.

Good news, I will have a smile all day!!

Someone from Elections PLEASE monitor her use of absentee ballots. She makes the rounds of elderly homes and public housing to get her votes. They don't care if she voted for a tax increase, they don't pay taxes! People of District 13, get smart and kick the witch to the curb.
This assumes, of course, that Ruvin does not pull another rabbit out of his hat.

With all this hell-o-belo about recalling who, we ought to be damn concerned about the DCA and the new Governor's desire of abolishment--Eh ???

Riley

Geniusofdespair said...

It is too late Riley. We shouldn't have elected him.

Does this mean the Seijas and Alvarez recalls will be on the same ballot?

Anonymous said...

The answer to the last question is that it is entirely possible for both Alvarez and Seijas to be on the same ballot. Depends on the timing of the certifications of the peitions by the Clerk. Assuming the Mayor's recall is certified by the Clerk first, as long as Natasha's recall is certified 45 days or more before the Mayor Recall Election date, the Commission could include it on the same ballot, but, do you really think they would do that to her as a group, even if it would save a few hundred thousand in not having to hold an election in her district??

Ah can't wait to hear how we get screwed this time.

It's good to see that I'm not the only one who mentions Sergio Pino. I can imagine how the posse must be crying, "Ohhh, ahhh, uuuh! We'll soon be saying bye-bye to nuestra gorda. Gosh! Pain the in the neck, now we'll have to find another crook to replace her." The never ending quest: How can we get rid of the problem? Maybe, if we can manage to get rid of Pino?

Is there a county ordinance or rule requiring elections to be piggybacked where possible? You're probably right that the Commission will see putting Alvarez and anyone else is a death sentence.

Anonymous said...

To answer the last question, no, there is no legislation that would require the special recall elections take place on the same day, and on the same ballot (within the Commission district). New rumors coming out of County Hall that the Mayor and Natasha may actually resign rather than go through the recall. Why you ask? Just like BCS did with Edmonson, they can essentially handpick their successors.......

if they dont piggyback the election, i never want to hear them complain about the cost of a special election.

Harvey will protect Natasha...she has nothing to worry about.

Agree. It's all part of the deal, including Kathy Fernandez Rundle who is along for the ride.

Who is the woman leading the group? Some naive local activist ignorant to the people of the miami political machine? If their main financing is from Abrahamson then they've already failed at changing things. I don't believe he is the only funder and that is precisely why they aren't filing until they absolutely must. The herald article says Balsera is involved so either 1. he thinks there is the potential for one of his businesses to make money in this recall (I'm guess on the recall campaign) or 2. Someone close to him is planning on running for the seat.

Are they thinking about who they're going to run for the seat after the recall?...DOUBTFUL! Even if they are you will never ever get a candidate out of many of the districts in Dade who isn't worthless. They may not be as disgusting as VNS but they will be unqualified, incapable, and easily influenced. The corruption in Miami runs all the way to the core and spans all the way across Almost everyone in the city with a job or dependent on someone who is employed there is dependent to some degree on the corruption continuing, whether they know it or not.

Thing have gotten really bad lately, the Dems have stepped up their corruption and moral depravity ten fold.

They need to step the recall effort in Edmonsons district. There are enough idiot gentrifiers there to get a recall and then we can run some hipster for fun.

Who cares about the cost of an election at this point? Making that an issue that both sides will get wrapped up in is a tactic they employ to distract and confuse people from the real issue. Let's have a separate election for each of them and set piles of money on fire in front of their offices.

activists dont have $$ money to burn and they know that, so that should offer some comfort to the recallees.

Don't trash the woman leading the group. She is my friend. She didn't like what was happening and took action. We should have more people like Vanessa Brito in this county.

The only fault I have with her, I wanted the exclusive and a photo of her delivering the petitions to Ruvin.

But I have found her to be an intelligent, thinking and savvy woman, not at all what the reader 2 above said about her. And who is Abrahamson (is that even a name)? Are you referring to Braman? Got your Jewish names discombobulated?

Mrs. Seijas -

Last year over our telephone conversation you told me that, had my parents lived, they would be losing their "Save Our Homes anyway, and you agreed it would be okay to raise their taxes (82 and 79 years old they would have been now).

You did not offer to help. You did not want to help me contact a state representative or someone else and work to help change laws that would help family members who inherit a property keep their tax bracket. While I appreciate you calling me back, you were very mean and insensitive.

You are an idiot. You have no education that merits the position you ocupy. You do not know who my parents were; you do not know who my father was - information which I will not disclose on this forum.

Start packing your bags!

Do not celebrate yet if the mayor and the commissioner resign. It is a tactic to safe face, but they will run again for the same office.

they have to rum against others, but no one can stop them from running.

I see many of you think every politician is corrupt, so what is your solution?

If we the voters care about ourselves "the people" the issues and vote accordingly, we will have the best people serve. but all what many of you care about is the party line, R- is bad, D- is good.

You criticize Bell in this blog, do you really know the lady. I know her for twenty years. She is the same person I know all this time, and she is THE only mayor who left Homestead poorer than she got in.

Watch you D- Mayor in Homestead, sooooon you know what I mean.

Be Americans first and stop bitching.

Milly :(to a good friend) - I know how much you loved your parents and how you try to keep the house that was of the family. It is not fair that you pay so much of taxes now. We have to find the peace that Christmas brings. Do not worry so much because God is fair and good and looking down on you, so we have to have the faith that Nat. Seijas will be voted off.
