The Miami-Dade Clerk of the Courts approved the five (5) recall petition forms against Miami-Dade County Commissioners submitted by Political Action Committee (PAC) Miami Voice. Miami Voice will launch a campaign to collect voter signatures calling for the recall of Barbara J. Jordan (District 1), Audrey M. Edmonson (District 3), Bruno A. Barreiro (District 5), Dennis C. Moss (District 9), and Natacha Seijas (District 13).
To think we are going to recall Natacha again. This will indeed be fun. I guess I will have to go down to Miami Lakes and help get signatures for the Seijas recall. Natacha will probably be voted right back in but it still will mean she has to fundraise and be humiliated...once again. I can also do without Jordan and Barreiro for sure. Also very popular -- they will be voted right back in is my bet. But maybe anger will be rampant and they will suffer the consequences. It will be easier to get signatures with the other recall going on. But the beauty of it all, the lobbyists will have to collect money for 5 commissioners. It is going to be such a hoot because it will cost them mega bucks and they might lose their investment in bad government if the commissioners get the boot from voters.
The Clerk of the Courts approved the five recall forms at 4:45pm Monday. The recall effort comes as a response to the Commission vote approving the Mayor’s proposed budget, including a property tax increase for Miami-Dade County homeowners. All five commissioners voted to approve the budget. Miami Voice’s effort is separate from Norman Braman’s campaign to recall Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez. Miami Voice supports Braman’s efforts and will collaborate in every way possible.
Locations/offices where voters can sign the recall petition will be announced later this week. For more information regarding the recall effort of the five Miami-Dade County Commissioners or Miami Voice, please contact Vanessa Brito at 786.547.8084 or e-mail: brito@yourmiamivoice.org.

At least TWO Hialeah Commissioners are seriously eyeing the vile ones seat and possibly a state rep.
The sharks smell blood and they are in a frenzy
If these folks get the signatures Natacha will have a harder time retaining her seat.
I only hope Braman puts some muscle behind this recall, since he's almost done with Mayor.
Ah, but sometimes a known enemy is better than an unknown one. Who are the sharks?
The sharks seem to be Mayor Pizzi, Mayor Robaina, most Hialeah Comissioners, State Reps Bovo, Hernandez, Sen Garcia-Rudi and Rene, Rep Cantera and a few others.
WHEREAS, this Board desires to make the following allocations from FY 2008-2009 District 5 County Services Reserve Funds as follows:
Christopher Columbus High School $2,500.00
Private Christopher Columbus High School is in District 10...
The PBA will be very busy this season. Seijas used their help in the last recall. However, with so many local campaigns going on, early voting, actual on the day voting, then the recall - this will be a hoot too.
Oh, those lobbyist........I truly am laughing at how much this is going to hit their pocket books. After giving obnoxious amounts of money during the current campaigns, now they have to dip in sooner than expected to help these 5 Commission Candidates.
Thanks for the good laugh this morning. I hope they all have some good walking shoes!
I just read that Beaman will not help this recall effort. Thanks for nothin' Norman.

"Braman maintains his ultimate goal is to amend the county charter to improve how government works for its residents. The proposed changes would include imposing term limits on commissioners; creating at-large elections instead of district-specific commissioners; and streamlining the referendum process to give citizens more power over policy."
In my useless opinion, he should have focused on the above from the beginning.
Your opinion is right- on. Agree.
Terry Murphy's gonna be busy! Run, Natacha, Run! All your developer buddies are out of cash. You can hit up Miguel De Grandy and Ramon Rasco. They'll take your calls. Hah.
Possibly Eyeing Natacha's seat Pizzi, Hialeah Commissioners Hernandez and Garcia-Martinez
State Reps Eddie Gonzalez and Steve Bovo.
Mayor Robaina is eyeing County Mayoral seat leaving his seat vacant and causing further Hialeah reshuffling and inturn opening up more races.
DOJ, are you paying attention?
I want breakfast. I'm not a senior but I'm out of work. I'll vote for Natacha, if she buys me breakfast and US Century pays me half a percent above prime for my deposit money. Deal, or, no deal?
You should hold out for Breakfast, a "pastelito de guayaba" and a discounted townhouse from Century Builders Now thats a deal.
Commissioner Seijas:
I never had anything against you one way or the other. I was not involved in the last recall attempt against you because I knew most of Hialeah seniors supported you and your friends in government would hussle for those absentee ballots, but things are very different now....
There is a lady in West Hialeah who use to adore you, but now...she says she wants to grab you by the hair and put you in a public square with Mayor Alvarez and the other 4 commissioners who voted to raise our taxes!
I might not know how government works, as you said that day, but I know right from wrong. Government is acting corruptive and the people have caught on.
Mrs. Seijas, you and the others on that public square are about to learn a lesson on democracy!
Oh well, you probably will not read this, since you are the only public official I know of in the year 2010 who doesn't have e-mail service.
She does use email - she is a 2 fingered typer, but she knows how to do it.
Well they say every dog has her day...maybe this will be Natasha's. Either way the answer is to not replace one bad apple with another, it is to represent the people in an honest and fair manner. Whoever is elected I would just hope that they would take all the citizens concerns into account and not act out of their own personal self interest. There are many good politicians, but that is because they are good people to begin with. Unfortunately there are to many politicians that are currently in office that are just bad corrupt people. All one has to do is look at the Marlins Stadium and the Port Tunnel deals to see that.
Is this a case of getting Batista out to get Castro? An enemy we know to one we don't...hmmm. You bring up a good point. Are we taking out a bad apple to replace her with what?
It is official!

IS COLLECTING PETITION SIGNATURES TO RECALL NATACHA SEIJAS FOR DISTRICT 13.
PLEASE.... PLEASE... PLEASE... PASS ON THE INFORMATION!
arrrrgh. I think we need to get our ducks in a row before we push anyone out of their nest. We know these devils and we should look for the replacements before the kickout.
I am telling you, the tax thing is being used as an excuse to make the commission veto proof.
