Is there any difference between Tea Party and conservative, right-wing GOP ... by gimleteye

Here we were led to believe the Tea Party was a third party, independent movement. The emerging facts cast doubt for independent voters who admired the willingness of early Tea Party leaders to blast the GOP and Dems in the same outrage. A report arrives just in time for the important Nov 2 elections. On Oct. 5 the Brookings Institute hosted The Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) to discuss its third biennial American Values Survey. Now that the curtain is pulled back, including the substantial funding of Tea Party initiatives and candidates by well-known Republican leaders, how will voters react? You can read the full report of the Tea Party and Partisanship, here.

The same difference there is between a Democrat, liberal, progressive, socialist, and communist.

Some Folks like pigs even without lipstick especially folks who wear partisan colored glasses.
TEA Party is amorphous and hard to define and not ALL Tea Partiers are alike Rand Paul and others have been beat up and battered by the likes of Carl Rove but he is supporting "Tea Party" darling Marco Rubio (Not my cup of Tea).
Face it G.O.d. people are fed up with the bullshit.Today Donkeys happen to be in power but 4 years ago the Elephants were tossed from congress its only a matter of when or if folks will tire of the musical chairs.

It's fun to name call unless you're particular brand is the one being called out.

The fact is, no matter what party holds the White House and/or Congress, we have been headed in the same direction since the early 20th century; a more powerful federal government, more economically dependent (on the federal gov't) state, county, and local governments, erosion of the constitution, and a slow inexorable trend toward a world currency, monetary system, and government (i.e., loss of our national sovereignty and identity).

There are about 300 million of us in the US, and approximately 300 million guns as well. You might want to hang on to one or two of those 300 million guns just in case someone(s) decide the land of the free and home of the brave is to be no more.

Democrat v Republican, Tea Party, Sarah Palin, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, abortion, racism, anti-semetism, religion, stem cell research, the economy, etc. are all fodder & noise that captures the attention and arouses the emotions of the masses to blind us to what's really going on, as I mentioned above.

Use your god-given intellect and pay attention to and keep your eye on the ball; our god-given rights and liberties as enumerated in that increasingly irrelevant document called The Constitution of the United States of America(unimpaired).

Wake up and take a look from 50,000 feet for a change.

We should all be working together to fight the real enemy; a federal government gone rogue.

Man, are you on the wrong blog!

And I'm sure you were yelling just as loud and pounding your fist just as hard, David, when this country adopted torture as a viable means of interrogation a few years back. You want to talk about going rogue? Indeed.

Until people like you are able to cogently explain to me why it was you sat on your hands from 2000-2008 and said zero about big spending and our Constitutional rights being eroded, all your righteous complaining is nothing more than partisan politics. And considering who is in office, probably a little more...although we don't want to go there, now do we?

AH HA! The race card couldn't help yourself Rick could you, but not once during the Bush Administration did you complian about discrimination against the metally challenged when people openly bashed Bush.

I'll see your race card and raise you a reverend Wright.

I can ask similar questions about left? Where are all the anti-war protesters now? Maybe they don't want to be called racist.

David is hating on both sides yet you take offense only for Obama why not the others, cause theys crackers?

Bottom Line Bush sucked Obama sucks and the next president will suck too. Both you guys deal with that fact just look at what people are watching on TV GARBAGE and thats what they'll vote for. Take 5 minutes and talk to a voter, you'll cringe at what you hear.

David makes a good point the Federal Government is out of control and I would add that state and local government are incorrigible (rumor has it that a new Video is about to hit called GOVERNMENTS GONE WILD which will feature a topless Natacha bouncing around her office, CAN'T WAIT!)
Have you hugged your AK47 Today?
Later my Home Boys

Just a comment on torture: Waterboarding is part of the training for all of our special forces. Are we torturing them too?

If waterboarding is torture, I'm a 340 lb ballerina, and I don't own a tu-tu.

By the way, if you think our government should not do whatever is necessary to save American lives, you are sympatico with the terrorists. Your position means you would be OK with not torturing the terrorist, and the result is an American or Amricans die. Does that make any sense? I'll trade a terrorist's life for one of ours any day, any time.

I'm so tired of political correctness, it puts me to sleep.
