Florida Seen as a Commodity Instead of a Resource. By Geniusofdespair
It makes me sad... so many reporters are so brilliant yet they struggle for work. Speaking of brilliant reporters, listen to Michael Grunwald, he nails Florida down but good. His arguments also support what we have been outlining as the issues to vote for Amendment 4. Don't see the video try this link.

Informed as he is, Silicon Valley economy or condo economy, it's all the same Ponzi Scheme and. worse. a race to the bottom for working people as long as we maintain our ridiculous immigration rate. The US added 33 million people in the 90s, about 2/3 directly or indirectly due to immigration. If Michael truly decries the commodification of Florida he should stop making economic arguments for "smart" development.
"Huh?" What? Did you watch the video? He's describing how Florida needs to build a better economy. A better economy won't help Florida. California has a good economy and it is under as greater or greater an onslaught as Florida, about a half a million new residents a year. I ceaseless wonder how it is that environmentalists can leave the P out of I=PAT. How would Bill Clinton put it? "It's the population, stupid." But nevermind. I'm not interested in hearing anything more impolite, nor as inarticulate, as "huh?"

I was thinking the same thing when I read the first comment... But with a meaner comeback. I can go with huh and be polite.
