I forgot to post this when it happened... This is Eugene Flinn's response to Katy Sorenson's District 8 endorsement.

The last comment under the earler post about the Taddeo endorsement is worth repeating. The Putney interview shows the real rude, obnoxious and tacky Bell at her best or worst depending upon your view. Whoever posted it knows her well in that if she says it, it must be true and maybe in her mind it is. The bombs of word twisting, deflection and mischaracterization should will be falling all week. BTW Ms Bell, stop whining about the Flinn city hall... you went down swinging in support of a 20 million dollar city hall project.
The city hal issues are such a distraction on costs. The real issue is one of leadership, who was able to get their projects done. All this inside baseball is nice. We know the facts, but what is everyone doing to get the facts out to their own grass roots links? Lynda revises history to meet her own and latest goals. The most hypocritical part of this is the fact that she did the same thing Mayor Alvarez did in raising the property tax millage rate in a year that the taxing entity collected less revenue. Identical.
She lost for reelection. Mayor Alvarez is getting recalled.
It is ironic that she supports the recall, even if it is merely due to her personally viewing the strong will to recall at the polling sites.
Her attacks on Mayor Flinn’s endorsements are silly. He so correctly pointed out that she attended each and every candidate screening, at times sitting next to him. Flinn should have pointed out the Herald and the homeowners’ associations who have also endorsed him, and who vetted her as well.
Please: get the word out. Let’s talk to fellow voters as often and as well as we trade with fellow bloggers.
Sierra Club Endorsement: The Sierra Club of Miami announces its endorsement of Eugene Flinn for Miami-Dade County Commissioner, District 8. Sierra Club believes that Eugene Flinn’ s record has demonstrated that he has both the leadership and legislative experience to make him particularly fit to address important environmental issues facing Miami-Dade County.
Eugene Flinn has spoken out against expanding the Urban Development Boundary and for responsible development within that boundary. His opposition to urban sprawl is well known. He understands the nuances of urban planning and the need to decentralize commercial growth into mini-urban centers to create more efficient development patterns.
While keeping Palmetto Bay’ s tax millage rates at one of the lowest levels in the county, Eugene Flinn, as its Mayor, led the effort to create plentiful parks and to require green practices in the construction of its new government buildings and library.
Eugene Flinn has shown environmental stewardship by encouraging solar power in his community. While Eugene Flinn was Mayor, the largest rooftop solar array in Miami-Dade County was constructed on the new Palmetto Bay village hall. Flinn has pledged to enact and extend programs to enable private citizens and businesses to take advantage of solar energy in their homes and shops. He has expressed his strong interest in creating opportunities for solar manufacturing in Miami-Dade County which will provide new jobs for a healthy, green economy.
Eugene Flinn has been one of the organizers of the South Dade Municipal Coalition, an environmentally sensitive group of public officials from South Miami, Cutler Bay, Pinecrest, and Palmetto Bay who are addressing issues involving traffic congestion and high voltage power lines.
The Sierra Club Miami Group is impressed by Eugene Flinn’ s excellent understanding of environmental issues. He is conversant in many of the difficult questions involving Everglades Restoration and other pressing environmental problems. His knowledge may provide the citizens with a spokesperson who can redirect the County Commission toward better solutions for the many pressing environmental issues facing it.

Started off as $20 million, ended up at $30 million before the new mayor pulled the plug.
As Flinn said at the end of Putney's show - she spent $6 million on an empty lot.

Lynda Bell, when Mayor, gave herself a $7000 raise in her travel budget!!
She and her muse, Wendy Lobos, traveled all over the country, often times with trips overlapping Right to Life meetings. Ummmmmmm
And yet, yesterday she became irrate over the county giving raises.
I guess it's okay when she does it, but not okay for others.
People, please get the word about this impostor!!!!!!!!
Just hope that the smart people who elected Sorenson will remember to get out and vote.
