The new game will be to get federal funding, Corporate Socialism, as they bash big government. All this while waving the "we need smaller government and lower taxes" arguments. It makes me ill.
We need responsible and ethical government above all else.
This is exactly what we need to fight against. SB 360, the development free-for-all that was signed into effect July 2009, has been overturned -- for now. State Senator Mike Bennet of Bradenton has promised to resurrect the bill next session.
We not only need to vote yes on 4, but we need to elect officials that understand and are willing to fight to keep developers in check, honor the will of the constituents and preserve the UDB.
Candidates worth mentioning: Millie Herrera for 114, Graziella Denny for 119.
I don't want to get any angrier than I already am. I am already in a state of flaming rage at the money that has been spent to keep house prices jacked up at the expense of renters and paying homeowners who'd like to keep their property taxes under control.
We've committed $9.1 Trillion to the bailouts of the financial and housing industries in just the past few years. This capital is lost to us forever, and it makes me ache to think of what it could have accomplished to rebuild our economy on a new foundation. We need railroads, power generation, and repairs on essential infrastructure to prevent critical failures. We need new industries and technologies to meet the needs of an energy-challenged future. But we have instead stolen that future to build more unoccupied houses while more people become homeless every day, and guarantee our banking cartel that the obscene profits will keep rolling in no matter how badly our financial people behave.
1000 years from now, historians will wonder WTF possessed us.
Money possessed us, thats WTF happened. It will continue to happen if Amendment 4 does not pass. The only ones you will have to thank are the very people you vote for and put in office.

This is the worst video I have seen about developers yet. They should get smart and not be making people so mad at them.
Let them dig their own grave. We have had enough of them and their political croonies and we will show them who controls our destiny soon.
Lesley Blackner for Governor!
