What Does a Moderate Republican Do Nowadays? By Geniusofdespair

Apparently they go into business....

State Representative Julio Robaina and Juan Zapata have joined losing Primary Candidate Jose Pazos' property management firm. The new name of the company is Pazos, Robaina & Zapata Management Group. Jose Pazos said:

"We look forward to helping those condo and HOA owners via the private sector since we were unable to do so through public service. I will be running again in 2012. I am not so sure about Julio. Thanks for your endorsement of my campaign for 117 I look forward to earning it again in 2012."

Jose, isn't Juan planning on running for County Commissioner Little Joe Martinez's seat when he runs for Miami Dade Mayor?

Julio should run for County Commission when Gimenez runs for Mayor of Miami Dade.

That might be interesting. Hearing a lot of names for that seat. Xavier Suarez, fresh off his son's victory at the City thinks he has a chance. Who else:

State Rep Carlos Lopez-Cantera

Gables Commish Ralph Cabrera

Andres Rivero

Armando Bravo

2012 is going to be wild!

^^^Yes, it will be!^^^

The only ones who will have a shot at that Commission seat are Cabrera and Lopez-Cantera. Others won't be able to raise the funds needed to compete.

Don't sell Gimenez short.

Julio would make a good commish. Maybe that's why Zapata went into business with him - so he won't run against his business partner for that seat. Also, Julio is a look cannon. He is in the habit of doing good things. maybe Zapata needs to own him. Not sure how I feel about this news, but I like Julio a lot.
