All good things must come to an end...why?
I am headed home. The only bad thing to happen is that my thumb was slammed in the closing trunk. It took a few seconds to start hurting - hasn't stopped since. Aside from that, the trip has been thankfully uneventful. I spent a lot of time on my boogie board in the surf and reading a novel on the beach these past few days. Last night I had a great roasted duck at the Ocean Grill in Vero Beach -- worth a trip if you are in the area. From what I can tell, there isn't much else to do here except eat. I am taking myself -- fat thumb included -- home in a couple of hours, to a reality that has me in a state of subliminal uneasiness.
One last thing...along the highway were many developer paid for signs saying "vote no on Amendment 4". That tanslates to us regular folks as: VOTE YES ON 4! Don't believe their 'no' misinformation blitz for a second!

Aw! C'mon, Genius, it ain't that bad. Thank God you're on your way back, finger and all! Look at everything that has happened since you've been away. Marco Rubio's father passed away -- apparently, even the Herald didn't believe the illness was real -- and he has "temporarily suspended his campaign." If he were truly smart -- after the Herald published a recent survey that revealed that an important number of voters would rather vote for Satan than for him -- he would postpone his political ambitions in lieu of a more propitious time.
Slick Rick selected a running mate who told Michael Putney that she was chosen because they have "similar backgrounds"... Suddenly, I became voraciously hungry to find out more about his background. Er... could she have also unloaded the Medicare program of a few billion? Naw! That would be too wild. Two thieves running on the same ticket? Well, who knows? Florida has that kind of luck! LOL
G.O.D. Look closely at your thumb and count to three then quickly open and close your eyes four times...Does your thumb resemble the vile one?
I bet it does.
She's everywhere her methane permaetes the atmosphere, drive carefully G.O.D. Natasha is lurking in your midst.
My thumb isn't that fat!
Glad you enjoyed your time off. I've missed your posts. The Vero and Sebastian area still has some remnants of the old Florida were remember and love. Sadly, probably not for long. Like Kudzu , The Miami Model is creeping north by the day.
I hope the surf was good for the soul.
M (moderate) still laying low.
LOL -
Genius has a smashed thumb, not one with gangrene
EOM glad you enjoyed some time away from "paradise" the one that was paved over for a parking lot! Was thinking of boogie boarding in the flooded streets in your absence.
