Don't miss this two-part series written by Ronnie Greene in the Miami Herald. Also there is a good video. Racism appears alive and well towards this unfortunate town. They have endured undetected contamination to their groundwater for over 40 years. Lockhead Martin now owns the contaminating factory that once produced machine parts for nuclear weapons. Many residens have berylliosis. There is a large under-ground plume leaking into the aquifer and no one has a fix for this tiny town including the corporate giant. Thanks Miami Herald for making me very sad.
And what is with all dumb Floridians that support oil drilling once again? Have your brains been sucked out of your stupid heads, how else could your memories be that short?

Terrific story, too bad about their headline.
I believe Lockheed Martin is working closely with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to assess the contamination and implement drastic actions at the former American Beryllium Company site. The Florida Department of Health has also stated that the environmental contamination in Tallevast showed no indication of a public health risk.
Did you read the article?
Wow, thanks for this. The article is incredibly sad. It puts things in perspective in a big way.
