District 8 Campaign Report: Danny Marmostein. By Geniusofdespair

He lists $54,100.00 in his campaign report ending 7/16. Most of it is loans to himself $51,500.

I hope candidates have money to burn when they self-finance. Do they really want to throw away big-bucks for the chance of getting a job making $6,000 a year? My Advice: Do some polling before you spend personal money candidates.

Good advice Genius.

If they have $$$ to burn, of course they'll throw it away. But if they are running for Congress again in 2 years, its an investment. Right, Annie?

Why would anyone donate that kind of money to themselves?

I think when the commission threw out campaign finance reforms ...they were really sleazy.

The Rabbi is an outstanding person. Annette thinks she can buy the election. She may be right, but is this what we deserve? We are moving closer to politics like her native Columbia. Ruling families based upon great wealth. The DLPs, Diaz-Balarts, and the Bush family. It is all about money, not accomplishments. The Rabbi has significant accomplishments in the community. What has Annette Taddeo accomplished in the community? Has she ever been to a PTA meeting? Does she even know what the initials P T A or P T S A stand for?

Anyone who votes for Taddeo based upon her money deserves our county government. Make you vote count. Vote for qualifications, not fundraisers.

"What has Taddeo done for our community?" The Rabbi asks.

NOTHING! That's why she's a shoe-in.

Too many brainless idiots out there who can vote. That's why she'll win

Anybody who uses cue cards to try to answer questions IS a dangerous candidate!

In this case ignorance IS NOT bliss.

We need to have an "Eye on Miami" debate for District 8. Why do the candidates meet to speak in front of religious groups?

Isn't the position about zoning and local matters?

What does everyone think about a debate? We can tape it and put it on youtube for those who can't make it.

I wonder if we can get the auditorium at Miami Dade Kendall campus for it?

I think that's an excellent idea, Mr. Freer. But don't hold your breath on getting Taddeo to show up - that's her strategy.

The less questions she gets to answer personally - the better.

May GoD save us all!
