Joe Garcia has made it official last night. He is running for the Congressional seat in District 25. Luis A. Rivera will face him in the primary. Republicans in the race are: state Rep. David Rivera, Homestead resident Edward Bollinger, Miami resident Paul Crespo, and Naples resident James Patrick Guerrero.
There is a scary guy in this race so I hope the Democrats can win. 2010 is shaping up to be a very interesting election year.

Who is Bollinger ?
Joe is going to have a challenger. He better decide what he stands for, cause it wont be like last time.
The bad guy is Paul Crespo I presume.
Joe isn't going to have a serious primary challenger. General election, sure, but the incumbency advantage is gone, and that counts for a lot.
As a teacher allow me a few words about candidate David Rivera, strong supporter of SB6/HB7189.
There was a ceremony when Marco Rubio ran up against term limits and had to leave the Legislature. As Rep. Rubio made the transition from Speaker of the Florida House to amateur theologian he shared a revelation. “God is not some old man with a white beard.” Then he let the rest of us in on the emotions and the very thoughts of this apparently young clean-shaven deity, much in the likeness and image of the Rubio himself. “He loves every human being on earth, whether you are an embryo or behind bars.” Rubio’s legislative lieutenant, his self-described “brother”, Rep. David Rivera, talks with a higher power too. “There’s a reason God made Marco Speaker at this time.” Rivera admitted he wasn’t sure of God’s reasoning but he thought maybe it was “to lead Florida through some of its toughest times.”
So there are TWO scary guys in this race.
Oh my goodness, two people who profess a faith in the mystery of God's will and a love of all humanity? So scary! That's why I only vote for professed athiests and those whom I know are just pretending to be religious. Better to vote for a fraud than a Christian, right?
Religion is fine, just keep it out of politics.
God made Rubio Speaker? That is a stretch.
Jesus said give on to Ceasar what is Ceasars.
Religious person...go read somewhere else. If you can't discriminate between faith and nutso rhetoric, you don't belong on this blog.
There is nothing nutso about their humility in not knowing God's will. If you believe in an all powerful deity, then its reasonable to believe there is a reason why things happen, and reasonable to consider what that reason is. How is that nutso? I'm no Religion major, but I think most religions subscribe to that theory. Your criticism seems more like anti-religious bias, or at least anti-conservatives-who-are-religious bias. Obama himself prays that he may be an instrument of God's will. Is he nutso too? see the link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/22/obama-praying-to-be-an-in_n_82737.html
With all due respect GoD, if discriminating from nutso rhetoric were a condition of belonging on this blog, you'd have to shut it down completely.
Predetermination yes, the Middle Ages.
I am not going to argue over anything this stupid.
Velvet Picture...congratulations, you made my comment of week page.
ENRON Joe running again? GOD no thanks!
BUZZ, BUZZ ,BUZZ WORDS...IS ALL I HEARD....NUTTING ELSE....SPELL CHECK....THAT....THANX
