Good the senatorial election now has a clear choice between tea bagger Rubio who supported it and the moderate Crist who wasn't sure he was a moderate. I guess he wears the badge now. The Reid opinion piece in the Herald was a warning to Crist to embrace who he really is instead of trying to please the nitwits in the party.
Couldn't be happier. Now it looks as though there really IS a difference between Rubio and Crist--enough so that it may cause the Republicans to THINK instead of REACT.
I was not for SB6 and I know who I am and I am not a Democrat. We would all be a bit better off if we thought with our heads and not our party affiliation, if you know what I mean.
The teachers union and other public unions are not just bankrupting state and local governments, they are killing the competitiveness of their own members. The UTD asked for "merit" pay originally - but its definition of merit is tenure and more degrees (paid for by the public). Crist missed a HUGE opportunity to lead a reform movement favoring tax payers.
Very disappointed in the governor but he's still my candidate for the Senate. Even if I disagree, I can respect a man who acts as he feels is best even if it may cost him politically.

Good for Crist.
What if we had a "thank you" rally. Perhaps it would help Crist. I would not hate this idea.
Time now to reform the real problem: using the fcat as the measure of performance.

How is it "gutsy" to cave in to the teacher lobby?
