Lawyer, Kent Harrison Robbins has announced he is running for Town Council on Bay Harbor Islands. The Election is on April 20. Little known about Robbins, but intriguing:
In 1994, Robbins teamed up with Dan Paul to successfully defeat a Miami Beach referendum that would have involved the City in the sale of recreational open space in the Altos Del Mar historic district. And:
From 1981 through 1993, he was a civil rights attorney who handled cases involving wrongful police shootings and wrongful arrests in South Florida, working with both the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). And:
In 2002, Robbins was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Sierra Club Miami Group and he is the Political Chairman for the group.
He also was the Campaign Manager for David Dermer for Mayor of Miami Beach in 2001.
