Money in Campaigns for House District 116 and 117. By Geniusofdespair

This was all I could find on the FEC website, through Sept. 30th. Carlos Manrique is leading the pack of 7 candidates in District 116. He collected $49,445. In District 117, Michael Bileca is leading 7 candidates with $46,950. Lisa Lesperance is not that far behind. I am not counting loans to their campaigns, just what they raised.

Note, this is through September (old). Will have to look at State records.

Looked at State records through the end of year, Manrique collected $70,475.00 and Bileca raised $131,415. Michael is overloaded with dental interests. He collected $55,000 from himself. Lesparance collected $50,000 through the end of the year. The State records are awful. I can't be bothered wasting my time.

Is there any particular purpose to posting old campaign reports for 2 irrelevant seats?

Irrelevant to you, not to everyone."

Posting campaign reports on there from 2 quarters ago is not news. News is actually reporting on the seats?

Like that one of the candidates in 116, Ariel Fernandez, dropped out months ago. Like which of these candidates has the endorsement of the incumbents. Like a new frontrunner has emerged in 117, Ralph Rosado. Like how other people were scared off from running in 117 because Alex Diaz de la Portilla was thinking of running since he's termed out in the Senate.

That's what people want to know, not who raised what 6 months ago.

So write the blog and I will print it. I am on the State website now, they don't have any 2010 contributions posted for the candidates. You don't need up to the minute reports --you can tell a lot by any campaign report. It doesn't change that much.

Q: Why would anyone donate money to Manrique? Doesn't anyone remember when he ran for reelection in 1994? A: He lost a reelection bid because he was charged with domestic abuse and tested positive for cocaine subsequently thereafter.

Based on whose polls is Ralph Rosado the front runner? Sounds like a crock to me.

Carlos Manrique was accused of domestic violence in 1994, tested positive for cocaine and does not have a college degree. I don't believe Carlos is the best suited person for this seat. Your thoughts?

Do you really want your sons or daughters to be represented by a monster like Carlos Manrique!!!

Genius, can you find out more regarding Manrique's wife beating domestic violence history...

The public and your readers have the right to know the facts!

FISCALIA INVESTIGA A LEGISLADOR POR PRESUNTA GOLPIZA
Author: CYNTHIA CORZO y MARIA A. MORALES Redactoras de El Nuevo
Herald
Edition: FINAL
Section: LOCALES
Page: 1B
Estimated printed pages: 2
Article Text:

Hey Marin, maybe its about time you dropped this clown Manrique before you sink with the ship. Rumor has it that things are not looking good for him. Willy B is getting endorsements that Manrique should be getting. Trujillo's name is also being brought up amongst the circles.

Word has it Manrique also had a drug abuse problem in the past and domestic violence cases against him. Take it from me, you don't want to be around when the music stops....tic, toc, tic, toc
