Former Mayor Lynda Bell, Why Are You In The District 8 Race? By Geniusofdespair
Lynda, if you couldn't win the Mayor's race in Homestead (41%), what makes you think you are going to win the County Commission seat? It is a harder race. Bell has Kimberly Dort as her treasurer. And, Lynda, if I were you I would dump the email lyndaforlife@gmail.com. This is pretty liberal district.
If I were voting in this district and any one of these candidates mentioned religion to me, I would not vote for them (that is a hint to one of you -- less is more on your Facebook Page).

Didn't Gene Flinn campaign for Lynda? Why is she doing this? Interesting.
Bell has no loyalty or respect for anyone except those who pledge absolute loyalty to her and never contradict her. Maybe she is there as a spoiler or to get more recognition for her next race in two years for the Congressional seat. Her shenannigans at Homestead will be disclosed as the race proceeds. Her texts show her true colors.
We should be very afraid of the "religious " right. Lynda Bell, in my view, is a Sarah Palin wannabe and shares many of her negative traits. Never underestimate the power of gender and faith based voting. Knowing her, she thnks she will be riding the wave of anti Obama sentiment. She is a two term President of Florida Right to Life. At one time its website proudly proclaimed that no one who supports abortion is qualified for public office. Tell that to the voting block in Pinecrest.
The rock mining industry will dump tons of money into her campaign.
You'd be surprized to know just how much support Linda Bell has.
She visited our HOA - the board and majority of the residents are supporting her as we did when she was Mayor.
What is your HOA's name? It is in Jupiter I presume.
If you do not know how to spell her name, you must not know much about her... that is the only way anyone could support her... either by being ignorant or an abortin clinic bomber
Bells biggest cheerleader will be Steve Losner who will be the next Homestead mayor if Bell wins the comission seat.
NOT
I agree with Losner supporting Lynda Bell.
It makes sense otherwise 2011 will see Bell back as Homestead's mayor.
Losner and his good old boy network won't be liking that. He already knows he can't beat her.
He is better off with her at the county.
I am hearing consistent potential candidate, Obdulio Piedra (not sure about the spelling), is going to file today. I mean, everyone is jumping into this race, so, Bell giving it a shot is no big surprise, and the District covers other areas besides Homestead, where she may do quite well, considering she is the most recognizable female name in the list. Whether she would be a good Commissioner is another story.
Steve is not one of the good old boys.... his father is another story... remember he supported Bell for Council over the good old boy Sincore in 2003....dont confuse him with his father
Steve is a new good ol' boy. He had his chance and his collapse happened by listening to the Homestead inbreeding cults.
The guy dances with both sides down there. He does what he has to.
Flinn is small potatoes, Pam Gray has potential, the developers are not fans.
I am concerned that the better candidates might be marginalized by all these choices...wouldn't be the first time.
Flinn has been solid with his time in Palmetto Bay.
There has been many great community improvements come out of Village Hall while he has been in office. And given what has been coming out of some of the county's other cities...that should give him some bragging rights.
Albert is my man!
"many great community improvements come out of Village Hall while Flinn has been in office". Get real! Look at Flinn's negotiated special interest group improvements on SW 144 Street. He's a charter member of the infamous Power Broker's Club, with a well-worn "For Sale" sign around his neck, just like his recently deposed buddy up in South Miami, Horace Feliu.
I don't see it that way. Palmetto Bay has had the community improvements that we were seeking when we incorporated. They are still occurring.
Todays opening of the library was another example. Did that library take some pushing and tugging? Yes. Did it get done? Yes.
Our Park improvements are much more than the county could have or would have offered. The finances are solid and village staff is congenial.
As a voter, I am happy with the village and happy with the way it has been run. There is no politician that will make me happy all the time. However, I am not displeased with PB's. I am thankful I am not in Miami.
All the people who are bitter with their elected officials are going to come out on blogs and slam them just to get back at them for what ever votes that didn't go their way. That is what is passing for political activism these days. I always felt that I had to see all sides of an issue. I wouldn't make an issue a personal thing between me and another person.
With so many different people running for office, I hope everyone behaves themselves! I am sure that all of the candidates have good talents and not so good talents. Some have more experience than others. I consider that good.
Palmetto bay diva -- agree totally with your last paragraph
I removed your comments The Girl Next Door. However I am putting your link here:
"I have the inside scoop about Lynda."
Check out my blog
https://www.homesteadisourhome.blogspot.com
I cannot check on your accusations --which you put on our blog-- for accuracy, and you did bring in family members (with accusations).
You are free to put them on your blog but we cannot print them here. I commend you for having your own blog and wish you success.
You know I witnessed these events first hand, they were not made up. I can swear under oath at what I saw, and I have witnesses to back me up. But thats okay, cover it up. If she gets elected, it's on you!
No it is on your hands... don't blame me - you could be a liar for all I know.
To be fair, I sent readers to your blog. You can report your witnessed events all you want there. Why is this not fair enough for you?
She isn't going to get elected anyway so I am not worried.
You are right about that, She won't get elected :-)
And thank you for the post link. Sorry about all that,
It's just so hard for a girl to be heard these days, Homestead is home wont post anything but their own oppinion. and the citizens of Homestead need to hear the real truth. I'm not out to lie about anything. I don't have to. the truth in this twon is much more interesting than anything I could ever make up.
Small towns man, you've got to love 'em.
"He" is a liar on many levels.
I saw the post that the Girl Next Door made early this morning that you had to delete. In it she makes some serious and criminal allegations against three named people and now claims she witnessed it happen. Incredible. These "girls" who are in political love with Bateman and strong dislike with Lynda will say anything to keep the challengers and truth at a distance.
While I do not care for her,the fact that Bell is running is no joke and should be taken seriously.
She knows no bounds and I believe, is "in it to win it."
Where did you find the information of registered candidates for Commission?
It is on the Miami Dade Elections website under candidates & committees.
The allegations Girl Next Door made concerning the CRA are false against Bell and Losner. They voted no to the sale of the shotgun house purchase and clearly spoke up against all the other shenanigans of the former FAB 5. This is public record.
They might have voted no, but Losner and Bell, they did not let it stop them from robbing the bank. Lynda is the same as Losner who is the same as Shiver. Same Snake different stripes.
There's so much talk about Lynda Bell.
Taddeo is beat!
She's colombian just like me and I think she should win.
