Homestead: Miami Dade's version of 'Peyton Place'. by Geniusofdespair

Homestead never ceases to amaze me for its rough and tumble politics, wacky leaders (Shiver, Bell, Losner, etc.) and now some sex at City Hall.

NBC 6, Jeff Burnside has been following the steamy story in Homestead. There are text messages that have been uncovered between the Former City Manager and his beautiful Assistant:

It all started with the release of romantic text messages from fired city manager Mike Shehadeh to his assistant, Johanna Fadis.

"I have a problem!! I can not entertain another woman in my mind beside you. I'm deeply in love with you girl. I'm getting deeper and deeper into it!" Shehadeh texted Fadis last September.

I learned a long time ago: never dip your pen in office ink.

You know, this does not drive me crazy like the dishonesty and dirty dealings. I am not in charge or anyone else's morality. As far as I am concerned, they can sleep around all they want, so long as they do their job honestly. I feel sorry for wives, husbands or kids that get hurt. That's all.

Wait till the texts between Bell, Lobos and Sierra are revealed. They show use of city phones for personal campaign and political purposes. It also looks to me like they violated the Sunshine. Guess those white gloves are not so clean.

Fadis looks pretty good. I bet she is married. Mike Shehadeh probably wishes he had nore self disipline.

Shehadeh was just another sleazy government hack who used my taxpayer dollars to get some tail. How many great employees were passed over for a big promotion there because they weren't sleeping with the boss? Good riddance to both of them.
