In theory, this open seat on the Children's Trust Board should be a great opportunity to sneak someone on who is not a Children's Trust flunky.
However, my best guess is that you would have to be a Commission flunky to be selected. I don’t know which is worse. For the benefit of the children, I would suppose that a Commission flunky would be more effective because they don’t have to go along with the Board members who tend to fund themselves or their pals.
Has anyone else ever pondered the ethics of being funded by the Trust and sitting on the Board of Directors? The incestuous relationships are incredible. Very few of the Board members are not impacted by their Board actions. They either are paid by Trust monies or have dear friends who are, so their strategic plans for the Trust are critical to their own future.
Too bad that we have no control over this run-away tax-funded organization. The Children's Trust is another Fairchild Tropical Garden style Board running amok with their own agenda, forgetting about the needs of the taxpayers who lavishly fund them. What is it with big boards and non-profits?

I am trust funded.
So, you must be on the Board too?
I am a board wanna be. One needs on the island to get voted in.
