Marco Rubio The Tea Party Candidate. By Geniusofdespair

The South Florida Daily Blog has a very good article and video clips on the Tea Party Candidate, Marco Rubio. SFDB also takes on Babalu's (a conservative blog with writer Henry Gomez) support of Rubio over Crist because of the stimulus funds. The Miami Herald today calls Rubio "a Tea Party star." Beth Reinhard says:

Here's the problem: Rubio, the Republican former leader of the Florida House, could be sidelined as a fringe candidate if he is too closely associated with the loosely organized, quirky tea party crowd.

Tea Party? Isn't it more fun to maintain the name "Tea Baggers"?

First Anon. Do you know the meaning of "Tea Baggers"? It has a sexual connotation. At least GOD didn't use that obscene term in her commentary. I bet you she already knows its meaning and it's good she's no longer using it!

Tea bagger.

Let's get this out into the open...This is from the Urban Dictionary. Frankly it doesn't offend me a bit, nor do I see it as obscene, as we all know it has acquired a THIRD meaning which I will add:

1) one who carries large bags of packaged tea for shipment.

2) a man that squats on top of a womens face and lowers his genitals into her mouth during sex, known as "teabagging"

3) PEOPLE INVOLVED IN TEA PARTY ACTIVITY, i.e. Marco Rubio.

We all know cock has two meanings, we don't wince when the word is used, unless we are immature.

He is a creation of Jeb Bush and cannot exist outside of Jeb's sphere of influence.

He played the game as well or better than Ray Sansom ever did with the Florida Turnpike gas contract and the sweetheart loans on his house.

He is a crass opportunist who will tell the all-white Tea Partiers that only English should spoken in the US and ballots should reflect that. He will tell his fascist minded friends that yes immigrants should be interned and harrassed and deported without due process then appear an hour later on Spanish-language radio and say nothing of it.

Sounds like Marco Rubio is qualified to sit in the US Senate to me. He'll fit right in.

I am the first Anom. Yes, I know what a teabagger is. It was the ultimate in stupidity when these people had "Teabagger" protests, and didn't know the mistake that they had made. We all had a good laugh. Maybe you people that get offended by the current definition of "teabaggers" or language in general should redirect your rage towards the current political and environmental conditions we are in here in South Florida. Our water supply is being destroyed, our city and county commissioners are a joke, FPL wants another 30% while Turkey Point is ready to explode and they're turning people away at Jackson Hospital, but you're offended by a little off-color humor? Get over yourself.

Oh, and by the way GOD, it's not only a woman that be on the receiving end of the teabags. How's that for non-partisanship!

Well, at least Florida is getting some national press for something other than being "paradise lost" --- Rubio gets the Sunday magazine cover - that's an amazing thing to do for someone relatively unknown..until now that is. Charlie baby certainly has his work cut out for him but am glad this is all happening now instead of 2 weeks before the primary - just you wait - with 2 summers in a row w/out storms, it might be a hurricane that saves Charlie's ass and his rise to the US Senate.
