Do you want to recall the Mayor? By Geniusofdespair

I think it is a mistake, but here is where you can go to get a form if you want to recall Mayor Alvarez:

1 - La Delisiosa Bakery 1570 West 43 Place Hialeah.
2 - Pharmacies Union. 400 Palm Avennue. Hialeah.
3 - Annys' Beauty Saloon. 3831 Flagler St. Miami
4 - Sony Hair Designer. 40 Giralda. Coral Gables
5 - Pharmacies Union. 6456 West Flagler Street.
6 - Pharmacies Union. 2501 SW 67 Ave Maria Victoria. and:

7 - Ludland Insurance. 2504 SW 67 Ave
8 - Telemiami 2920 N.W. 7th Street. 33,125 Miami
9 - Milton Cuba PE. 1302 NE 125 Street. North Miami.
10 - Finlay Clinical Lab: 330 SW 27th Ave. # 101 Miami First floor.
11 - Bright Supermarket 1164 SW 17 Ave Miami
12 - Neighbors in Action. 1210 S.W. 3rd. Street. Miami.
13 - The Lady Theodora Valiente. At the door of the Navarro Pharmacy on Eighth Street and 39 Avenue.
14 - Radio Miami International. 275 NE 18 St Apt 1706 Miami 33132

Since the forms have to be notarized, I am wondering when they are going to get that done. It is not as if you can just send the forms in. Here are the recall group's instructions which are a bit hard to understand:

Your form have to be certified by the person who give you the form (ME: DOES THAT MEAN THE PHARMACIES AND SUPERMARKETS ABOVE??). (The CIRCULATOR). If you are the person who print from the computer them yourself is the one who have to certify as CIRCULATOR.
9) The CIRCULATOR has to take the form to the NOTARY to be notarized. The notary can not be the Circulator. The circulator and the notary have to be two different persons.
10) After you have the form notarized you can send by post mail or delivered in person.

Carlos Alvarez was the Chief Salesman pushing the County to waste over $3 Billion of taxpayer money on the Bailout of the Marlins. Of course, Alvarez should go.

Further, Alvarez won the right to be the "Executive Mayor" yet he never removed George Burgess and Burgess's army of dimwitted assistants. Hence the taxpayers pay twice for weak ineffectual leadership.

Dear Matt (Miami Herald): You better than any body know my appreciation for the magnificent work and investigations that The Miami Herald does in the favor of the justice and democracy for the people the Miami-Dade County and for the cover for all the process of the Recall against Carlos Alvarez. The last Saturday you mention that Mr. Martin Z. Margolies considered “I am not to be serious about to fire Mayor Alvarez, by a recall because I did not return his calls.” (HE ALSO HUNG UP ON ME BY THE WAY)
I do not remember received any call from him. I received hundreds of calls and e-mails every day for people working and supporting the Recall and I return as much as I can but I am practically alone in this campaign and also I am human and can make mistakes. But if I made mistakes, this not allowed to not body included Mr. Margolies to emit so disrespect opinion about a person that he did not personally know. Person who work more that 16 hours a day for more that three months, fighting only for the implementation of a better democracy in the Miami-Dade County. He can have all the money of the world I don’t care; I care more for participation, moral and patriotism I do not consider his as a serious person because if you see TV, Read News paper, or Radio you can get my phone, address and how to contact me. Did he sign the petition for the Recall? Our campaign is not about money, I do not need money what I need is people to come to sign the petition to fire the mayor, brave people who believe in liberty, justice and democracy. If this people did no come to sign the petition our effort will be futile. I wish the people of Miami-Dade do not lost this opportunity. I will appreciate if you publish this note.

I smell fraud on these petitions. They are supposed to be circulated by someone who watches the person sign and in turn signs their name in front of a notary saying they observed the person sign. It's dangerous to have them floating around in stores with no control by a circulator.

Quite a bit of fraud actually. I'd like to know how he is accepting donations? Is it necessary to form a PAC in these situations? Are there disclosure requirements, etc...

I imagine Tony Montana speaking when I read his statement. How many of these recall petitions are in anglo neighborhoods? Most of them seem to be in Hialeah. Is this an opportunity to put Raul Martinez at the top of the county?

Though I dont thinks this petition is going anywhere, I am suspect of those Anons claiming fraud here. The fact that recall petitions have to be notarized while absentee ballots don't says alot about the powers that be and their desire to stay in power.
It makes falsifying an abdsentee ballot a lot easier than falsifying a recall petition both these situations favor those currently in power.

Fraud?

How about the Marlins scamming $3 Billion from Miami-Dade County taxpayers?

last anon,

I see the stadium going up. Have you paid a single extra cent in taxes yet?

If so, stop renting rooms in hotels at the beach and stay home.

Tourist Development Taxes and Convention Development Taxes benefit all of us IF they are spent attracting and retaining tourists.

We all benefit from tourists who come to Miami and Miami Beach and who rent hotel rooms and spend money on food and entertainment. The money flows down to all of us. When idiots like Carlos Alvarez and George Burgess force low IQ elected officials to vote to divert our money we all lose. (Of course, there were the Marlins lobbyists whispering in their ears.)

Of course, low IQ elected officials are too easy to buy and/or influence. We all pay for their stupidity and avarice.

last anon,

So, along those lines, that sorry Health Care Bill Congress is trying to pass would take money out of the economy that would flow down to me otherwise?

Yeah let's get Joe Martinez in Alvarez' place...and while we're at it let's set the whole county on fire.

While I don't like everything Alvarez has done, this recall is a sham and those who support it better brace themselves for the REALLY bad guys to vye for this seat.

last anon-you are right!

The recall might not succeed but Carlos Alvarez is still responsible to the $3 Billion rape of the taxpayers.

Watch which departments get their budgets cut because Miami-Dade County is forced to invade General Fund money to pay interest on the bonds to pay for the Marlins Stadium and the Marlins Garage.

Carlos Alvarez has helped create the financial downfall of Miami-Dade County.
