The County is desperately seeking your input on the first part of their community-wide sustainability plan for Miami-Dade (not just for County operations). This first step, a draft Sustainability Assessment Report, can be accessed via this link.
According to the County, the purpose of the Green Print Assessment Report is not to set goals or prioritize initiatives (that will come later), but really to “take stock” of all the sustainability-related challenges (environmental/economic/social equity)that we face in our community and to identify the best way to measure the challenges so that progress (or lack of) can be assessed over time.
Comments will be accepted until January 18, 2010 at this link. Do your part trying to help the County shape up – let them know if they missed the boat or something. They do read and consider your comments.

The county appears to do something right, but of course none of the other readers of this blog are interested in commenting. It doesn't fit with your narrative, EOM, it must blow your mind, bunch of nattering nabobs.
Putz.
Some good news, thanks for the link for comments.
Nattering nabobs. Nice... not!
The county's Sustainability office is nothing more than patronage pit for Burgess cronies. Take a look at the bloated staff and salaries there. How did they get their jobs?
