Regalado's Chief of Staff, Tony Crapp, Jr. By Geniusofdespair

Longtime staff member for Tomas Regalado, over 10 years, Tony Crapp, Jr. is now the gate keeper. I thought you might want to know what he looks like in case you bump into him at City Hall. He always has been friendly to me, he is very personable. He made a salary of about $65,000 in 2007.

The good looking guy on the right is also Tony Crapp. Tony E. Crapp, Sr. was appointed Executive Director of the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) in 2006. He was an Assistant Miami-Dade County Manager for 4 years and then did a short stint (4 months) as the first Executive Director of the Miami-Dade County Community Redevelopment Office. I am pretty sure they are father and son. That is all I know about the Crapps.

Tony Crapp, Jr is indeed a nice guy. He is in over his head. He needs life experience. But he is a nice guy.

He has been Regalado's Chief for 13 years.

Dr. Capp from the Community Relations board is the brother and uncle.

PS: GoD you must hate me... I can 't see those letters or at least type them correctly

The letters ah yes we have been getting a lot of junk lately so i put them up....sorry. How could he be the brother and the uncle?

Dr. Capp is the brother of Tony Crap, Sr. The person in the picture is actually Tony Crap, Sr., not Dr. Capp. Dr. Capp changed his last name because of obvious reasons. Tony Jr. has been at the City for a long time, and there is no learning curve there, whoever said he needed life experience clearly doesn't know what he/she is talking about. He is highly capable staffer, and a good person, first and foremost. He is definately a huge improvement over the last Mayor's COS.

The community relations board....?? So you are saying we have 3 Crapp's? And your crapp/capp is NOT in the photo?

Larry Capp, Phd. is the Executive Director of the County Office of Community Advocacy, which houses the Community Relations Board as well as 5 other boards under that umbrella.
He is a smart and dedicated man who has recently been beat up by the BCC for making too much money. He has been in the county for years and its notlike he sets his own salary. The Cuban Commissioners particularly went after him. Jordan defended him It was uncomfortable.

Interesting...wasn't Regalado's district like 95+% Hispanic? And he's been the CoS for him for more then a decade?

The City of Miami is facing huge deficits. Employees especially firemen are massively overpaid. The City cannot pay $150,000,000 per year towards its union workers for their fat pensions as its tax revenues decline. Who will stand up to the union workers?

The Chief of Staff will oversee pothole filling and traffic circle maintenance, all at over $100K

The one on the right is indeed Crapp Sr.

If you wanted to make sure absolutely nothing got accomplished, you'd assign the project to him.

He's a nice enough fellow, but nice doesn't make up for the disaster left in his wake at OCED and Housing.

Nice doesn't cut it when dealing with the WIN AT ALL COSTS unions.

I am concerned that he didn't have the common sense to change his name like his brother did.
