Can't wait to see Katie Edwards' campaign report. Edwards, Executive Director of the Dade County Farm Bureau, is kicking off her campaign for the Florida House of Representatives, District 119. According to the 2000 census, that District has 40.9% White, 50.2% Hispanic and 5.5% Black registered voters. The district is equally split between Republicans and Democrats. So far there are 3 Republicans running for that distrct, Frank Artiles, Juliana Velez and Italo Andres Zanzi. There is also Graziella Renee Denny - no party affiliation. Hello, any Democrats out there? Katie has to be a Republican.

OMG Katy Edwards is a Democrat? That is a shocker.
Not if you know her personally. Plus a lot of Dems are already behind Edwards. That photo doesn't do her any justice though. She lost weight and looked amazing last time I saw her.
She is great and very community oriented. She is a democrat. She is on facebook, check her out.
She looks great on FB but no match against Artiles and his Sweetwater/Swampwater supporters.
She is only warm and fuzzy when it suits the moment.
More power to her. We need more females representing us here.
I know my wife and all my female friends and neighbors will vote for her.
Two good candidates to consider - Whilly Bermudez for 116 & Katie Edwards for 119.
This is better news than the massive cold front we will have this weekend. LMAO
Nightmare in the making. Another anti UDB voice, farmer's rights to sell out to developers. Somewhere out there Vile Natacha is smiling. Elevate the proponents for urban sprawl to the state level makes sense because that's where these locals are rejected.
Property Rights Edwards....She is the most un-democratic democrat I have ever heard of.
If Katy is running as a dem it is so she can avoid a primary. She comes from a cattle ranching background, not your usual dem background. She is anti-UDB and her bio says she has an interest in land-use. What's that about? She has always supported "highest and best use" of land. Translated; farland is on the bottom of the ladder. Having done battle with her for years, she is not an environmentalist nor is she interested in preserving farmland in Miami-Dade or growth management. A vote for her would be a BIG mistake.
What is the difference between a Democrat and a Republican? Nothing. Two heads of the same snake that is strangling the middle class in this country by promoting an agenda that lines the pockets of the rich at the expense of the working class.
Katy has never been anything but Republican. And she is not a sweetheart in the good sense of the word.
And yup, she will be a farmer,(rancher, lawyer wanna be, environmentalist [hah] or your best friend) when it counts; a sweet little darling when it counts; and then use your trust to blow you out of the water.
Boys, don't take her home to your Mama. She will own the house before you can figure her out.
That is Zapata's seat.
Zapata is backing one of the Republican's for his seat. The financial reports for a few of the Republican's in 119 is interesting. One of the Republican candidates looks like a carpetbagger from New York, which is where a lot of his contributions came from. Interesting. Edwards is about as qualified for this seat as my Dog is, even though my dog is smart, he's not half as devious as she is but will try to please the people in front of him as she does.
No New Yorker types needed or wanted down here.
New state reps will be,
Artiles - Bermudez - Solomon - Lesperance.
You can take that to the bank.
I am curious about the guy that Zapata is backing. Who is he and why is he backing him. Are there some back room deals in the making. What is Zapata doing. Someone said he owns some land in West Kendall. I am also curious about that.
