Army Corps: What happens to the Commanders when they retire? By Geniusofdespair

Well, this one got a job with an engineering firm:

“McDonough Bolyard Peck, Inc. (MBP) is pleased to announce that the firm has named Paul Grosskruger, PE as a Senior Project Manager. Grosskruger will be managing operations in Florida and will report to MBP's Southeast Regional Office”....“Prior to joining MBP, Colonel Paul Grosskruger (ret) served as the former Commander of the Jacksonville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.”

This is the guy who had been orchestrating the Everglades restoration for us, now he is working for "a multi-disciplined construction consulting firm."

The Commander post is a revolving door for a better job, they don't seem to stay on as the head of the corps for more than a couple of years.
