Senator Edward Kennedy is Dead. By Geniusofdespair

I was in the Senate Chambers yesterday (thank you Senator Nelson). I asked the Guard where Senator Edward Kennedy sat. She pointed to a chair on the left in the back row in the second section (below the center blue wall in this photo). She said that Senators routinely moved up, depending on their seniority, however, Senator Kennedy stayed in that seat because Bobby sat there. I had a feeling of doom as I looked at that chair yesterday.

I never quite understood the meaning of the "left" and "right" for the party names, until I was in the Senate chambers yesterday(it is so easy: when you look down on them from the citizen gallery the Republicans sit on the right and the Democrats sit on the left).

So Jim King wasn't dead for 2 minutes before someone trashed him, and the same goes for Wade Hopping.

I'm starting my watch now.

Oh...wait...Ted was a liberal darling. I'm sure he will be as revered as Pope John Paul on this site.

Annoying M. Haven't you figured out yet that I would like Ted? After reading this blog for as long as you have --- you must know I am a Ted fan. To set the record straight I didn't comment on the croaking of the other two -- it was Gimleteye. Their deaths didn't interest me...

One rule: don't insult the blogger.

I do not know everything and I readily admit it. I have said numerous times that I am not a writer. Don't pound on me if I don't know more than you on something. Go read the Herald instead.

My sense had always been that L/R was a carry over from the French Parliament. The important political parties sat together (just like the cafeteria in high school). I then came across this...

Interesting stuff.
