There is much negative talk around town about the Virginia Key Master Plan by EDSA which includes about 10 parking garages. Hmmm. The pictured complex at top is also proposed for the North Point. View the proposed plan and then attend the meeting to tell them what you think: The City of Miami Planning Advisory Board, 7 p.m., June 17 at the City of Miami Commission Chambers, 3500 Pan American Drive or City of Miami Commission meeting at 9 a.m., June 25, same place.

This building looks like it belongs in that Captiva island Time-Share resort at the end of the island.
Check out the drawing of the Fishing Pier that looks like something out of a Hollywood premiere. Stuart Sorg from the Miami Waterfront Board (which unanimously rejected the plan), said he feels he would need to wear a tuxedo to fish from there.
Too much concrete. Too much concrete means the plan will get the support of Manny "I love concrete" Diaz.
This is all part of the Joe Rasco insider Key Biscayne mentality that turned the island into something that really defies description.
Does nobody anywhere in the plan consider one of the few pieces of private property on the island, "Jimbo's", to the direct east of the water treatment plant? There is even a figure regarding the land ownership, Jimbo's being in the middle of a large section, simply labeled as belonging to "City of Miami"
Jimbos owns NO PROPERTY on Virginia Key -- He is a squatter on City owned land, pays no rent. FYI
