Marco Rubio's Twittering. By Geniusofdespair

Pretty Boy and Conservative U.S. Senate hopeful, Marco Rubio has a Twitter Page where you can find such gems as:

I have a feeling the situation in Iran would be a little different if they had a 2nd amendment like ours. (This Tweet was picked up by National News outlets on the evening news).

I am for progress, but this new iPhone every 6 months is ridiculous. What new features does new one have? Can it vote in a senate race?

Took kids to school. Important they get good education. They will need high paying job in to pay off the fed debt we are leaving them with.

Great event in Lake City today with over 200 republicans who want to take back their party and save their country.
And:

Just got message that former Speaker Pro Tem & Christian coalition director Dennis Baxley is endorsing our campaign

Have arrived in IKEA which is packed with fellow "economic stimulators"

Today will be on the Sean Hannity Radio Show to discuss Sotomayor nomination and our campaign.

Getting ready to speak in Clay County to a group of "conservatives in exile".

My view of what Republican's need to do? Provide an idea and solution based check and balance to the Democrats in Congress.

President Barack Obama hit the nail on the head when he spoke about "people clinging to their guns and regligion" and Mr Rubio is the perfect candidate for that population of fearful and angry religious gun ho's. One can only hope they're a shrinking minority...and his "race" for the Senate will be brief.

Maybe he's trying for a show on Fox rather than the US Senate.

And yes, he was referring to this man and others when he made that tweet below the photo...I went to the link he supplied.

not in Mensa,

What a foolish statement. Regardless of your political persuasion, it is abundantly clear that Marco Rubio is obviously not a crazed halfwit.

Anyone, and I mean anyone, who has ever had the occaision to sit and speak with him knows, that regardless of whether you agree with him or not, he is an extremely smart and articulate person (albeit, too conservative from my viewpoint).

Devolving into comments like yours reveals your lack of insight into the fact that there are well meaning people who disagree with your politics. Obviously, there are enough of them to maintain significant control over all levels of politics in this state.

Nothing is worse than a true believer from either side of the political aisle that thinks the other side is always wrong.

Not in Mensa either and the young twit Rubio is a highly intelligent and calculating ward of another even smarter and diabolical oligarch, Jeb Bush.

Now it is going to be fascinating to watch Jeb's boy walk the tightrope between the "English only" crowd, those rabidly racist anti-immigrant forces, and his Cuban-American brothers and sisters in Miami.

He is not going to be tight-roping... he is going to be dancing.

I guess he is betting that the folks in South Florida will never see the media coverage of his events and comments form the middle and northern end of the state.

That's definitely his strategy. The real possibility that he could consider such an approach and believe he could get away with it is a damning indictment of our politics and the media.

Andrew, it very likely that we, in Florida, are just that isolated.

Just within Miami-Dade County, you have 2000 square miles. After Hurricane Andrew the people north and west of Downtown Miami were absolutely clueless for days, if not years, about what South Dade looked like following the storm. This was in our own county, for gosh sakes. And even now, some folks have to dial a 1 to call North Dade County from South Dade. That is dumb.

BUT considering those examples of poor communication within one county, are we going to be surprised that a candidate can get away with telling a Rotary Club in Lake City that the only language he speaks is English and then 6 hours later he is in Miami speaking Spanish on channel 23?

Wait and see what happens.

Maixelle perhaps your life experience is different than a lot of folks in South Fla. but a lot of us left places where the government was abusive (to put it mildly) and had taken away our guns (Armas para que?)
I don't know if were on the same planet but I have been watching protestors throwing rocks and getting shot dead in return on the streets of Teharn, would the government there be so boldly tyranical if there were a 2nd amendment there? Please take your partisan blinders off and answer this question logically.
Perhaps the founders knew that those in power would not heed the 1st amend without the existence of a second.

I am lost here too. :(
