Hold the Line doesn't stop sprawl, in fact it forces development pressure into 5-acre lots, the worst kind of sprawl. And it gives an easy answer so people won't think about what would really be better planning. Anyone who favors smart growth and goes to this party is getting snowed.
Putz.
Like there are not some very successful growers on 5 acres, but then, they would not be out there being successful, if someone didn't step up to the plate and hold the line.
Who wants 5-acre ranchettes sprawling over hundreds of square miles? Increasing demand for roads, fragmenting ownership? Holding the line ensures that that will be the reality. Can't you people see that holding the line is not the solution, just a band-aid? Nut no, you just want to deal in easy answers.
