Everything has been pretty quiet on the Rodney Barreto front but he did take time away from Spring cleaning to form a new Corporation, Floridian IT, LLC., or at least he is listed as the “Manager” of this member-managed company. The Registering Agent was Jose Machado. Wonder what this corporation is about? It sounds tropical. Maybe Lobbyist Barreto is buying property in the Bahamas or bananas. It was only formed a week ago, I suppose time will tell. April might also be a time for Barreto to help out a friend. Gonzalo Sanabria has two corporations with Rodney, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Rodney lending a hand, or supplying some bucks, in the Coral Gables election.

On most things Crist does a decent job. But why he keeps Rodney is beyond my comprehension. Maybe he looks to Rodney and his camp to make big donations for Crist's run for congress. Maybe that is what this new corporation is about, fundraising.
Figures he would connect up with Gonzalo Sanabria, all the developers connect up to each other.
The last time I talked with Rodney, he was in laughter describing his days as a cop with the City of Miami Police. Someone asked how he got into lobbying, and his response was: "Most of my days were spent chasing criminals through the Grove, and in my spare time I earned cash working the front door at Monty's. All the politicians used to come there to drink and cut deals. I wanted to get in on the action".
