Eye On Miami has Class: Opera! By Geniusofdespair

Let me warn you, the first sixty nine seconds is sort of, well not what I like in opera, but the rest is actually very good (especially between 3:40 and 4:40). I listened to many versions, some sounded better but this one was the most unusual rendition of Delibes' Lakme Flower Duet. I like "different." I thought at least one of you out there would like it too.

Beautiful, I agree! Actually you all could have heard this beautiful opera, Lakme, in February performed by the Florida Grand Opera in our own Arsht Center. Beginning April 25th to May 9th they will be performing Madame Butterfly. This is the largest stage in the US second only to the MET in NY. I do not work for the Arsht but I'm a volunteer there. If you haven't seen the Arsht Center go free for Gospel Sundays on April 19th. There are also free tours on Saturdays and Mondays at noon. I have seen many first-class performances starting at $10 not only for Opera but for Jazz as well Classical, Latin, Broadway, Flamenco, Ballet. Check it out at www.arshtcenter.org.

I do like going to the PAC. Wonderful venue. Stop telling people about it.
