Dan Ricker warns Sunshine Law Violators: "I Am Not A Potted Plant". By Geniusofdespair

Straight from The Watchdog Report (To Subscribe email: watchdogreport1@earthlink.net):

"The Watchdog Reporter is not a potted plant and elected leaders need to realize that if they are going to have conversations with each other, concerning policy issues in front of me. In the future, I will take out my video recorder and record the events. At the Miami-Dade commission meeting Tuesday commissioner Natacha Seijas had extended conversations from the dais with both Commissioners Barbara Jordan and Audrey Edmonson, and at one point Seijas had her hand covering her mouth so you could not even see what she was saying and if elected leaders hate the Florida Sunshine Amendment so much and feel it must be flaunted, then resign."

U go Dan.

Keep it up, but be sure you go visit all the outside offices of the commissioners and mayor.I bet there are stories there too.

Dan does not REPORT everything he sees and hears. His editing is extreme.

So where is law enforcement?

He says he's not a plotted plant, has anything ever come out of his reports?

The Sunshine Law is a joke with the BCC. Commissioners use their office staff to communicate all the time, still a violation. Is anyone surprised Seijas is so blatant, she is untouchable by the IG/State Atty. Get the evidence and turn them in Dan. Maybe concrete evidence will jog the IG. Every time commissioners communicate outside of the Sunshine the public is screwed. Ever attend one of those "advertised" sunshine meetings between commissioners? They are advertised in a newspaper few read (Daily Business Review) and the commissioners get nervous when the public shows up. Try a few, it is entertaining to watch them squirm and try to look like they are actually discussing the advertised topic.

Sunshine Law violations? Spence-Jones talking to another commissioner outside a public meeting? Someone should investigate.

Why the press makes such a noisy mess about different themes like this one or more important like the City of Miami's Communty Development Department where its Director Barbara Rodriguez was fired or let go for allegations of fraud and no follow up has been made or indictment served? Is the Katherine Fernandez-Rundle scheme of declaring "under investigation" to not disclose the real delictive actions has been used again? What about the scandal reported of her husband the unfortunatelly notorious for his frauds in section 8 in the Miami Dade County's Director Rene Rodriguez? Were these two con-artist were prosecuted? I think the press in general (including you) is only trying to sell and it is not interest in helping to unmask the culprits and demand corrstive actions publically.
