I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore!

Beat the Marlins--stand up for citizens' rights to be protected from the tyranny of corporate welfare doled out by too many politicians that should know better!

81 games a year will employ how many full time people for how many millions of tax dollars? This equation does not compute, but for the fact that the BCC has to reward the unions and the politically connected who run contracting and construction firms. Which is what Miami is all about anyway. Really a sick use of millions at this time, can't wait for the delays and cost overruns on this pig, buy Revlon stock, they will need a ton of lipstick.

I will be out of the country or else Id be there in a heartbeat. Please share my complaint that these asshats want to waste $515M+ on a stadium that less than 1% of the population will enjoy. The location is barely different than the current park's location. There are no supporting businesses and the plan bears no improvement for the surrounding community. The area will be raped by traffic and pollution with nowhere for fans to go except the stadium and then left for dead when the game is over. Im tired of my tax dollars being used for these ridiculous, half-baked ideas. Newsflash - the Marlins have won 2 FUCKING WORLD SERIES in the past 10 years and NO ONE GOES TO THE GAME! PEOPLE IN SOUTH FLORIDA DO NOT GIVE A CRAP ABOUT BASEBALL. LET THEM WALK!

Blind Mind -- looked at your blog and noted you were a sports fan....was surprised that you didn't support the stadium in light of your interest. Are you mad at the people for their lack of interest in the team as well?

I am a huge sports fan, yes. And I guess you are also correct that I feel resentment towards Miami fans who are arguably the WORST sports fans in the country.

However, I dont allow either of those feelings to cloud my judgement on what is right and what is wrong and this stadium idea is just plain wrong.
