How do you cope with the newspapers? ... by gimleteye

For all of my adult life, I have read newspapers, in the morning, and then before bed. But for the past few months I've given up reading the papers at night, because it hasn't been helping my sleeping. If I continued to read newspapers at night, I'd read about Fed Chief Ben Bernanke informing Congress that we are in a "severe recession"-- yesterday-- and that would lead to revenge dreams. I don't think there's will be much good from economic front in 2009, but still we have to read newspapers, don't we? Some people are saying that we just need to stop worrying and be happy. What do you think?

Hilarious. Wonder how many of those jobs still exist?

I am reading the newspaper but avoiding the news. I did a puzzle, looked at the Oscar dresses they trashed, read about...hey wait a minute...did I read anything? Oh, yes the letters and the unfair characterization of Sarnoff as "grandstanding" in the editorial. I also looked at a black lawyer drinking from a water fountain with a plaque above it. A plaque on a water fountain to signify...? separate but equal no more??

Is this video an outtake of the casting for "The Office"? Before Scranton got really scrappy? There's a woman using a cell telephone at 2:00 minutes... I used to own that phone!

I'm leaving right now for a bike ride to Matheson Hammock. Cost - $0. It's a beautiful day. If you don't have a job, get out and enjoy south Florida. Your stack of bills will still be there when you get back.
