Flashed and Mooned in Sarasota. By Geniusofdespair

Yes, really, flashed and mooned and it was only my first trip to Sarasota! Who knew this was a wild town, I was told the average age in Sarasota is 65.

Let me set the scene: I was just driving down 41 Saturday night after a dinner with my niece, a student at New College, my (almost) 9 year old grand niece, spouse and sister. We came upon a trolley. As we waited at a light a woman, obviously dancing in the trolley, came to the back window and lifted up her sweater exposing her ample sisters. The young goils in my car were laughing especially the 9 year old who was hysterical. Meanwhile the woman gyrated back up to the window and did it again a few seconds later. As we drove she continued dancing. Next light she turned around and pants down, pressed her butt against the window (remind me to NEVER touch a window when on public transportation) moving her cheeks to the music in a spiral. Sheesh, that was more than I even wanted to share with a child a bit shy of 9.

The drive back to campus to drop off my niece was more eventful than I could have imagined. We were good sports, we gave the woman one flick of the brights as we passed. Sarasota, who knew?

It wasn't me, I was in Miami this past weekend.

I guess their Historic Main Street Program is working well.

You did yourself a huge disservice if you didn't head next door to the campus and check out the Ringling Museum of Art. It really is a world class facility that doesn't get much fanfare.

Yes I did M, I agree with you.... I did myself a disservice. I wanted to go but the admission was too high so we went to the State Park. I did walk around the grounds outside. But I am never one to pass up a Rubens or a Velázquez, in the good times. I am also a fan of the Mannerists which they seem to have a lot of.

Frankly, I am pissed I didn't go but $19 is obscene for admission.

Quite a few Rubens actually. According to state law, admission if free for Florida residents 1 day per week (or at least it used to be) and that day was Sunday.

I haven't been since they finished renovating Ca'd'zan.

When I tell people about it who have never been, or heard of it, they look at me like I'm nuts.

There was a time that the Ringling Museum of Art offered free admission on Wednesdays. Not much help on other days, but certainly made it a not to be missed in the mid-week.

If that doesn't get people on public transportation I don't know what will

I've seen some topless homeless guys on the metromover rubbing up against the plexiglass.
