Hometown Democracy Petition Has Verified Signatures for 2010 Ballot! By Geniusofdespair

Yesterday Florida Hometown Democracy (FHD) passed the thresholds necessary to be qualified for the 2010 state ballot. "We congratulate Florida Hometown Democracy for achieving this amazing feat." said John Hedrick, who has been the Sierra Florida point person on FHD.

"FHD needed to achieve 611,009 verified signatures statewide and also achieve 8% of registered voters voting in the last presidential election in at least 13 of 25 congressional districts in the state. Today at least 611,753 verified signatures are on file out of a total of 850,000+ submitted by FHD...and the required 13 districts have qualified" said Joyce Tarnow, President of Floridians for a Sustainable Population.

O THE NASTY Comment leaver:
I took out your drug references once again, it is unsubstantiated and rude to honest workers. There are alcoholics/drug addicts in every profession, i.e., M.D.'s, Police Officers, Teachers, lobbyists (I know one who was in jail). Don't single out one profession: petition gathers and slur them. You taint the whole profession with a broad brush and decent people are working at any/every job in this bad economy. I have been a petition gatherer and I do not use drugs or alcohol. Those who point a finger at someone else, like you, have 4 pointing to themselves:

And: I do not have time to edit your posts as you suggest, if they CONTAIN OBJECTIONAL MATERIAL THEY WILL BE DELETED IN WHOLE and yours did and it was. And here you did it again.

You are as thick as a brick writer---here is your argument and it might very well be right: (I am in caps)

If you really believed in free speech, you would have deleted that one word of my 150 instead of censoring my entire comment. But you clearly only talk the talk on the free speech front.

(I DON'T TALK ABOUT FREE SPEECH. I AM WILLING TO HEAR BOTH SIDES IF IT IS REASONABLE, GO GET A SOAPBOX IF YOU WANT TO FREELY SPOUT STUPID STUFF - I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT HERE. IT IS FREE SPEECH AS LONG AS YOU AREN'T BEING AN IDIOT ABOUT IT)

By the way - FHD isn't yet qualified for the 2010 ballot - check the law. They need far more signatures to meet the number set by the 2008 election, not 2006. This will go on for quite some time.

I am sure you will delete this, too, because you cannot stand to be told you are wrong. Just know I know that you are afraid of a rational debate and facts you cannot overcome.

YOU MAY BE RIGHT ABOUT THE PETITION QUALIFYING...BUT YOU ARE STILL AN AS
