Florida Power & Light: I feel your pain! By Geniusofdespair

According to yesterday's Palm Beach Post "Florida Power & Light's effort to persuade regulators that nuclear power is a renewable energy suffered a blow Thursday when the staff of Florida's Public Service Commission recommended against including nuclear in the state's portfolio of green energy."

FP&L believes nuclear should play a role and be counted towards it's "renewable" obligations. (Me: LOL).

The Commission took another action: against making FP&L pay rebates to customers over that phony Sunshine Energy Program which was shut down a few months back.

I'm gonna buy FPL a copy of webster's dictionary tomorrow - maybe they are not the axis of evil and greed but just slow learners that need to research the meaning of the word RENEWABLE.

Did they force refunds of sunshine $$?

Some clarification of clean renewable energy.
1. Heat is a problem with coal, gas, solar generators, and nuclear. It contributes to global warming, and some enery production uses large amounts of water.
2. Biofuel helps with eliminating the dependendance of imported oil, but still contributes to CO2 emmissions and global warming.
3. So far, solar cells, wind, and tidal or ocean current generators seem not to contribute the above problems.
