VIDEO: Change we can believe in, if enough people hear about it... by gimleteye

There is nothing controversial about this advertisement except that ABC refused to broadcast it after the recent presidential debate. The Repower America sponsors could not buy air time despite hundreds of millions spent by the big energy companies right after the presidential debate. Their ads are on day and night, right now.

Our nation is in a deep crisis-- a perfect storm-- because we tolerate messages like "drill, baby, drill" instead of leadership explaining how the reliance on oil, itself, is spending down American treasure.

It doesn't matter how much we drill: we will continue to disinvest the US Treasury so long as protecting oil is the basis for our foreign policy in the Mideast and Afghanistan.

We are spending down our Treasury and costing American lives in the false expectation that we can control oil supply in the Mideast.

We persist in believing that there is "victory" that can be measured and is achievable, when the most we can expect in return for American treasure is a quagmire being stretched out by Iran and its proxies as long as it serves their interests.

They are feeding from a bottomless supply of resentment, rage and humiliation, while we are spending from the stored capital of an industrial economy.

The only way out of the Mideast and Afghanistan is to build energy supply competitive to oil and fossil fuels. You can't say all this in 30 seconds. But the ad that ABC blocked, tries.

At a time of economic crisis-- the worst since the Great Depression-- we should be demanding proactive policies from our leadership to create a new energy economy and jobs to repower America.

Take a moment to tell ABC to reconsider their decision and air this ad, though it scarcely tells half the story.

The "Drill, Baby, Drill" chant was scary. It displayed the totally lemming-like mindset of the people in the room.

The ad was fine... I watched it just now. Censorship is scary.
