Babygate: Is Sarah Palin the Republican's Tom Eagleton... by gimleteye

There's an interesting Youtube video: did Sarah Palin contrive to make Baby Trig her own? If it is true that Sarah Palin is not the mother of Baby Trig, a few issues emerge: first, the question of recklessness, second, the matter of deception by a possible vice president a heartbeat from the presidency, and third, a presidential candidate inclined to roll the dice.

In 1972, when Senator George McGovern won the Democratic nomination for President, he chose Tom Eagleton to be his vice president with only a minimal background check. Eagleton concealed that he had been hospitalized for depression. Newspapers soon revealed it. McGovern's handling of the controversy was an opening for the Republican campaign to raise serious questions about his judgment.

WWJSD?

Wow! Palin scaring liberals that badly they have to come up with this bad supermarket tabloid piece of "news". That first Youtube video is pathetic.

Getting on a plane 4 8 hours after your water broke? That is not GOOD JUDGEMENT.

I do not think she has made that mistake, but she is another crazy like Anita Bryant. And I greatly disliked Anita and was glad we forced her to move away. No I am not gay but I dislike people who hate people because they are born different from them.

What does WWJSD mean?

This all very interesting yet confusing. Herald is reporting that Palin has admitted her daughter is currently 5mos. pregnant.
http://www.miamiherald.com/1324/story/667603.html

So, if the April baby really is the daughter's, the kid got knocked up again, immediately afterwards to be 5mos. pregnant in September?

What Would Jon Stewart Do? (WWJSD)

I'm amazed. The rumor comes out on the blogs. Instead of squashing the rumor, there is news. How interesting: teenage Palin is now pregnant. But the news hasn't answered the question: what about Baby Trig? The engaging image is Bristol holding baby Trig. And a woman (Gov. Palin) getting on an airplane after her water broke? Let's hear one doctor raise his hand, and say that is what he or she would recommend an expectant mother to do. There are more questions than answers. So let's get on with the answers.

I feel sorry for her daughter. No one should have to be going through that in front of the entire country.

I feel sorry for McCain. He killed the campaign. I think it will be curtains for him, whether or not he was the best candidate will become a mute point now. What was he thinking?

Puhleeze....and there's a shortage of conservative TV, radio and internet? Go there if this is too PROGRESSIVE for you.

Trust me, we ALL know that if Obama's daughter was the 17yr old, pregnant out of wedlock - you'd be singing a different tune. More so, the gates of hell would be opening right now on FOX, Falwell and Rush.

So, suck it up man - you're obviously one of those right wingers and your party is f'n up - deal with it. I mean take it like a man instead of acting like a b*tchy little girl in front of everyone on the blog. It's funny but, ya know - kind sad.

Who cares if the girl is pregnant? The only thing that matters if there was deceit from the outset by Palin. Let's see some proof: photos of Palin pregnant with Trig, some dated videotape. Let's see a statement by the obstetrician who allowed Palin to travel 9 hours by plane after her water broke. This story needs to be answered, not because of a tragic story of a teenage girl but because the next vice president of the US if McCain is elected needs to be truthful and usually where there's smoke there's fire.

Oh get over it. You guys are scared! Admit it! Palin is a great choice obviously or you would not be so concerned about pregnancies. Your God Obama has spoken stating that these matters are private. So get a life and focus on substantive issues. What you can't think of any? Typical.

saw some Palin pregnant pictures.

But, I also saw a photo of her daughter where she looked pregnant before they announced it. I wonder when they were going to make that announcement?

I feel bad for her daughter. She must be mortified that she finds herself in this situation. And even worse is being married at 17, because her mom is running for office. I can't believe that she wanted to get married at 17...I think that is a save-face thing.

Good thing they have money, because someone is going to have to support the newlyweds.

I think Trig is Palin's baby. The daughter as the oldest of 4 children is probably used to holding the babies and taking care of them.

I feel for the daughter but the message is that "abstinance" does not work. Palin is a supporter of abstinance instead of sex education and birth control. Palin will force her daughter into years of misery by making her get married. These marriages rarely work but by the time the divorce happens Palin will be out of the line of fire.

I don't think Sarah used good judgement to get on a plane for 8 hours after her water broke. I believe it was her baby and now your you tube video guy does too. He posted a second video.

That part I am okay with.

It is the poor judgement part that worries me. I would never get on a plane for 8 hours having "light" contractions (I have two children). Would we want her as leader of our country if she though nothing of the crew and other passengers on this flight if she would have had to give birth.

If you do care about the issues....judgment is a major issue, especially since experience is in short supply by Governor Palin. She seems to lack both!

I would also question Cat'm Mac's (John McCain) judgment in picking her in the first place. She's never been out of the country until she was the Governor of Alaska. Her primary and major experience in public office was that of a mayor of a town the size of Biscayne Park.....

Capt'm Mac only spoke to her twice for a total of 15 minutes. It goes back to the question of judgment, experience and decision making, again. He knows he's 72 years old, possibly the oldest person to become President in our nations history and he picks some silly-eyed country girl with so little life-experience it makes you wonder what is he trying to do .

As a former Naval Aviator myself, I ask this question ....How many times did Naval Aviator McCain get shot down or wreck his airplane when he was in the Navy?

Capt'm Mac and Momma Sarah ain't the ones!
