It is time for voters to clean out the unreformable majority of the county commission in Miami-Dade. Again it is the economy, stupid.
The unreformable majority (Natacha Seijas, Joe Martinez, Bruno Barreiro, Audrey Edmunson and Barbara Jordan) are cogs in the machine that lead to the worst real estate crisis in Miami history. That is where the economy is cratering, and that is where the blame belongs.
If you want to know why traffic is so horrible in Miami-Dade, if you want to know why infrastructure, why contracts, why affordable housing has been so mismanaged-- look no further than the unreformable majority of the county commission.
The Miami Herald election endorsements are in agreement, if not so clear about the connection between local public officials and the loss of jobs and economic opportunity and quality of life.
But unlike the 2006 election cycle when the paper cautioned against throwing the bums out, this cycle the city's only daily newspaper made a strong statement by endorsing nearly all the challengers.
Help get the word out: Whilly Bermudez, Lourdes Aguirre, Val Screen, Dave Patlak, and Linda Faye Stephens. Just the sound of these challengers' names are sweet.
If you want a chance to vote on the mortgage foreclosure crisis, on the inflated supply of housing that is pushing down the value of your home, you can do it now: sweep out the bums out.
The unreformable majority of the county commission all deserve staycations from public office, with or without ankle bracelets.

That list:
Natacha Seijas, Joe Martinez, Bruno Barreiro, Audrey Edmunson and Barbara Jordan...
is the unreformable majority running for office...
because we all know: Dorrin Rolle, Pepe Diaz and Javier Souto are also members of "unreformable" they just are not running.
We got to get the train moving! And I don't mean the CSX either.
Just don't know why they would leave the other 2 in place? (Moss and Old what's her face. I am sure neither one of them had any issues with the crazy building frenzy in the south end of the county.
