Linda Faye Stevens is running for County Commission District 1 Seat, to replace Barbara (won’t recuse herself) Jordan. Stevens is a lovely, smart lady. I shudder to think what the election will do to her good spirits. She is tough though, she will survive whatever they can hurl at her and hurl they will. She was in the military so my money is on Linda in a hand-to-hand duke it out match. As far as brains, I think they are evenly matched, Jordan is one of the sharper tacks on the Commission and Linda is a sharp tack as well. But as far as truly wanting to help the community with very good intentions, my money is on Stevens. She wants to protect farms, the Everglades, the Urban Development Boundary and she wants to stop the crime in district 1...what's not to like?
Good luck Linda, without funds this is an uphill battle for you.

time for a change - Jordan has been on the Miami Dade County payroll for over 30 years! Also she was on the Miami Dade Housing Agency that was rife with corruption!!as published in the Miami Herald.
