Welcome to the Land of Orange Colored Trees. By Geniusofdespair

South Florida is such a magical place, awash with dazzling colors of lush vegetation, blue-green water, pink birds and orange hued trees. You wonder how it could be the same place where a little three year old girl can get hit by a bullet.

What breeds here can be shocking. People are nuts but we have more than our share.

When the Poinciana's are in bloom it is truly a beautiful time here is Florida. Too bad that the spoonbill is in trouble. Perhaps the U.S. sugar land will help them survive by bringing more water into the Everglades.

Poincianas come from Africa, which isn't exactly the most peaceful place on earth.

But it is disturbing. We live in a world, and city, of beauty but also heartache.
