Should Non Profits be Getting Your Donations or Do You Want Your County Commission to Give Your Tax Dollars? By Geniusofdespair

I have started looking at non profits. Do you have any info for me on non profits getting public funds that you want looked at? I think there are non-profits that don't need our public funds for one reason or another, I want to find them.

It was a joke... My suggestion, if you really want to go this route, is draft a public records request to the auditor general for a complete listing of all non-profits that the County contributes funds for. I would limit the scope of the research to the last 3 years, maybe less. The longer the range, the longer they will take in responding, but they do need to respond...

Environmental Coalition of Miami Beach

$50,000 to fund banner planes touting 'clean up your litter' or is it just a way for staff positions?

Look at who gets the campaign donations when a commissoner is unapposed. Even less public oversight.

I will choose who to give my donations to thank you very much. I don't want the government to be giving away much needed funds to non profits when transit and affordable housing programs are broke.
