Lennar's Parkland: Is This Really Where We Want a New City? By Geniusofdespair

Is there really where we want to build a new city? (Hit on image to enlarge it and look for the "X".) Lennar wants to put a development for close to 20,000 people (6,941 homes) near the "X". I thought you might like to see it in context with the Everglades and the low elevations.

No. This is not where we should be building. Global Warming is going to flood this area, the water will creep in from the everglades...we should be proactive.

Do developers care if the place floods and the residents drown -once they sell their badly-built houses they couldn't care less. They simply move along to find another lot to make a buck.

When Lennar gives the money to their lobbyist (kind name for briber) and he lets the politicians know or pays them in advance, We can all go to hell. Lennar will get what they want.
