Note, there are 152 donations to this campaign thus far, totaling $64,327.13. Also note: I don’t think any of these people mentioned below are from his district. This is a quick snapshot on a few who are giving...
SAJ Holding $500, Mgr. Steven Blumenthal out of Coconut Grove.
J/S Commercial Realty, Inc. Even though they give a Ponce address for their $500 donation, on corporate records the address and Manager are the same as SAJ Holding (above).
Then we have Concord Properties, Judy Wieselberg, Joseph Wieselberg all using the same address on SW 90th Avenue. Total $1,500.
All the above are identified as “Real Estate” except Judy who is a “Housewife”. (Hit read more)
He did receive a $500 donation from Highway Star Investments, Inc. an inactive real estate investment company. Former County Commissioner Miguel Diaz de la Portilla was the registering agent. The President is Maria Feito, at Ponce De Leon, Coral Gables. She also appears to have given an additional donation as a “Housewife” for $500, from another address in Coral Gables.
Maritza Cananova and Mercedes Fandino gave the same address (except one says Hialeah Gardens and the other “Miami) and both list themselves as “Housewife and Homemaker.” That seems like a most equitable arrangement — two homemakers at one address (Maritza owns the single family home).
Jorge Luis Lopez, listed as an attorney out of Coral Gables gave $500. Jorge L. Lopez, listed as an attorney in Coconut Grove gave $500.
Pablo Acosta, also an attorney in Coral Gables, gave $500 calling it “Individual". Pablo Acosta “Attorney” also in Coral Gables gave $500.
Guerran Investments of Coral Gables gave $500. Guerran is owned by Amace Proprieties, Coral Gables. One of the “Big Boys”, Armando Guerra is the trustee of Amace. And, speaking of “Big Boys”, Flagler Development Group, with a Jacksonville address, appears to be managed by Armando Codina of Coral Gables. Flagler gave $500.
We also have another biggie, Century Enterprises Group which has as officers, Sergio Pino, Gabriel Bustamente, Carlos Garcia, Armando Guerra and Humberto Lorenzo, all out of a Doral Address. There are 10 contributions with a similar company name or the same address: Total $2,500.

Jorge Luis Lopez and Pablo Acosta work together. They clearly donated from both their individual accounts, and their P.A.'s.
And, your point? This is a rundown on where Martinez's support is coming from. We all know by now that the same people will give numerous donations either via relatives, multiple corporations or as you have described above. It is not illegal, but it does warp the spirit of campaign financing as one can get an advantage, using creative financing to skirt the $500 dollar limit.
Genius, it was just a point of information... It is legal, and by the way, activists, attorneys, stakeholders, all play the same games!
How can an Inactive Corporation issue a check for a person, company or even for donation to a political campaign? Isn't this a violation? How can a bank cash a check from an Inactive Corporation?
Gee, I did'nt know we have 5 black commissioners.
this isnt a violation. Joe does it by the book. Now i a certian someone who throws parties and its mandatory to pay 50 dollars.
FUNDRAISERS SET A "MINIMUM" CONTRIBUTION SO IM NOT SURE WHAT YOURE SAYING THERE...
MOST OF THE MAYORS FUNDRAISING PARTIES WERE $100 PER PERSON.
SO NOT SURE WHAT YOU ARE SAYING.
