South Miami Imploding? By Geniusofdespair

The new commission in South Miami fired the City Manager: 3 to 2 vote. I am told that as a follow up -- the Finance Director, Chief of Police, Planning Director and Public Information Officer all resigned today. Watch for others to follow suit. Could this all be true?

Surprise to anyone who has been paying attention: the dead weight has begun to leave the "corpus" of South Miami" The City, which claims to be the "City of Pleasant Living" has begun its restructuring.

During the first commission meeting since its election, the new commission fired its highly over-paid and unexperienced city manager. Her friends, the Finance Director, the Planning Director, Chief of Police and Public Information Officer have resigned.

Some residents are hoping the Recreation Director and Human Resource Officer are next.

South Miami would do well to have a forensic audit to see how much damage the manager did in her 20+ month tenure.

Thank God I don't live in South Miami!

Truly Blue.

I hope the same can happen in Miami Lakes. The high salaries are unbelievable and then the service given to the residents lack of a lot of things. We need new Administration in our local government beginning with the the Town Manager Alex Rey.
